From the Oklahoma State Health Department on eye safety for the solar eclipse:

There's no amount of time that's considered “safe" to look at the sun without proper eye protection. Even looking for a few seconds could cause damage, and the longer you stare, the higher your chances of experiencing damage. Don't let the eclipse leave a lasting mark! Have a plan in place to safely watch the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. You won’t want to miss it!
