Austin earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Langston University and considers himself a lifelong learner. He commits time each year to furthering his skills and knowledge base through advanced education and training that keeps him up to date on recent research and methodologies. Austin is certified in manual and neurodynamic therapy, as well as in dry needling.
Austin is a dedicated professional, passionate about people and helping improve their lives through his work. He and the Valir PT Norman team pride themselves in providing individualized care – care focused on the unique needs, varied personalities, and different goals of each of their patients. Austin knows that most people feel vulnerable when they come for physical therapy. That’s why he and his team believe in relationships. It starts with listening – truly listening – to each patient, which allows them to start building a sense of trust as soon as patients walk through the clinic doors.
Austin loves meeting and working with people from different backgrounds. He and his team strive to create an environment in which patients feel comfortable and confident as they work to heal their bodies, and to regain strength and motion. Austin loves the clinic’s riddle of the week. He said it’s a simple thing, but patients really seem to love these fun brain teasers.
When Austin isn’t busy at the clinic or furthering his training and knowledge, he is chasing his son around (He does keep Austin busy!) or tackling projects around the house. During hunting season, you can find Austin with his black lab, Bae, walking the fields for birds. He and his wife cherish family time and love a good Saturday just hanging out at home.
