In 2005 Southeastern Louisiana University is what sparked Dr. Gueldner to transfer from Texas to Ponchatoula, LA. Dr. Gueldner knew from a very young age optometry was the professional field she could see herself enjoying. The experience she had as a young child needing glasses made for an unforgettable memory, and changed her perception of sight. As a child, Dr. Gueldner thought that an optometrist would be the coolest job to have, and thatโs what she set her mind to becoming. After many years of studies, and 3 years into her career, Dr. Gueldner is very proud to be a part of such an outstanding profession, and still thinks she has a pretty cool gig every day. Dr. Crystal Gueldner is a Texas native that has grown to love Ponchatoula, LA. Ponchatoula has become home away from home. In 2008 Dr. Gueldner received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Southeastern Louisiana University. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. She graduated in 2013 with Cum Laude honors, and was recognized with outstanding clinical and academic performance. Dr. Gueldner has clinical experience in primary eye care, ocular disease management and treatment, contact lenses, pediatrics, low vision, vision therapy, and post-operative care and management. She enjoys all aspects of eye care, and strives to provide exceptional care for her patients. Dr. Gueldner is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometry Association of Louisiana. Dr. Gueldner and her husband, Billy Gueldner were married the summer of 2013. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, and vacationing to any place where the sun shines off a coastal paradise.
