Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave heroes who selflessly served during the tragedy of 9/11, as well as the individuals and families who endured unimaginable loss and suffering. At Sinceri Senior Living, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who showed incredible courage, and our hearts remain with all those affected by that day.

The Men's Tinkerclub is inching closer to completing their airplane project. It's a fun way for them to exercise their problem-solving muscles and fine motor skills. Today, they encountered a minor hiccup when the instructions didn't quite align with the picture on the box. But, being the clever folks they are, they concocted a solution on the fly - "just bolt it in the next hole" - and it did the trick! 💜

We got our jam on this afternoon with an impromptu drumming session when our pianist couldn’t make it in. Drumming offers numerous health benefits that includes heart health, stress reduction, mood improvement, physical stimulation, and even boasts cognitive benefits. We’re not sure which was louder, the drumming or the giggles—everyone had so much fun! 💜🥁

Our Activities Director, Dee, is the resident social butterfly; she loves discovering what brings our residents joy. It's no surprise that gardening is a popular topic, and Dee's organic watermelon plants are the talk of the neighborhoods. When a resident asked Dee to bring one in, she happily obliged, and the resident's reaction was priceless: “Wow, it's heavy!!” 🍉

Now, the kitchen is raving about its sweet juiciness. It will be the main attraction for the resident's neighbors once it's chilled.

Reportedly, Paint by Number helps enable those with Alzheimer’s to improve fine motor skills and develop abilities in visual perception. By paying close attention to detail, matching colors to specific numbered areas, it naturally enhances cognitive abilities and promotes mindfulness. We just know our residents find it both creative and fun. 💜
