I used to have it all wrong.
I thought if people were talented and hardworking, that was enough. I didn’t have a real structure for evaluating my team — I was going off gut feelings, loyalty, and hope.

Then I started running every person through 2 simple checks, and everything changed especially when a people problem showed up and I couldn’t figure out why things kept breaking down.

The truth is, most people problems aren’t personality problems. They’re a culture misalignment or a seat misalignment — and once you know which one, you know exactly what to do.

🤔 What happens when you have the right person in the wrong seat? Or the wrong person in the right seat? Or worst… the wrong person in the wrong seat? Practice owners and managers, grow through this in my Vision-to-Practice course.

IYKYK. Man if I only had “yes (wo)men” on my team, I wouldn’t have sustainable businesses. So put your pride aside and tag those teammates who look out for your blind spots and protect the greater good of the business.

I got asked on Saturday what about being a woman has helped me in dentistry.

Clinically, it’s obvious. Women are natural caretakers and nurturers. That’s served me in being a very patient, empathetic dentist.

A lot of dentistry is helping people overcome fear. Listening. Meeting people where they’re at. Creating a space where someone feels safe enough to say, “I’m scared.” Women tend to be really good at that.

But the question got even more interesting when we started talking about tech. Because stepping into tech, you quickly realize it’s historically been a male-dominated space. And it’s not about women coming in and competing with men.

It’s asking: How do we take what’s already been built… and make it even better?

Because women bring something powerful to the table there too:
We build around people.
We listen to the actual users.
We design systems that make life easier, not just more efficient.

Different strengths.
Same mission: move the industry forward.

Here’s your sign to stop waiting to do the thing.

One generation before me, women didn’t have a choice.

One generation before me, women couldn’t even open a bank account without a man.

One generation before me, getting a mortgage as a woman was nearly impossible.

One generation before me, many professional doors were still closed.

& now we’re here.
Running companies.
Owning properties.
Building wealth.
Leading industries.

The platforms we stand on didn’t appear overnight.
They were fought for.
So it’s our responsibility to actually use them.

Start the thing.
Create the table if there isn’t one.

Bc the ceilings we’re breaking right now will become the floor for the next generation of women.

What are you building?

This is where most startup dentists lose money before they ever open. Not in dentistry. In the build-out. Leases, construction timelines, and contractors can quietly bleed you if you don’t structure the deal before you sign anything.

The mistake I see too often is treating build-out like a box to check instead of a strategy to protect your time and capital. Not every contractor understands dental. Not every project manager has the capacity to prioritize your project. And saving a little upfront can cost you months later. This phase sets the tone for everything that follows.

If you’re planning or building and want guidance before decisions get expensive, this is exactly what we work through inside L’Academy 🔗 Link in bio.

What’s on your must-have list when building out your office?

02/06/2026

Moving every year since you were 17 isn’t normal? 😂 I thought I was playing real life Monopoly.

02/02/2026

Most dentists think they have a good team.
Very few have the right people in the right seats.

Be honest… Do you even have an org chart?

If you’re in startup mode, this matters more than anything else.
Startup hires aren’t here to “just do their job.”

They’re building systems, workflows, and standards from zero.
That takes: experience, ownership, decision-making power, crystal-clear expectations.

I see so many foundations built wrong? They’re expensive (& painful) to undo.

If you want guidance on building out your bench, this is exactly what we work through inside Vision-to-Practice ✨

Meet Dr. Le

With the skills of a dentist and the style of an artist, Dr. Le was drawn to dentistry by her desire to build relationships, serve the community, and inspire others to lead healthy lives. Her passion lies in helping patients achieve their goals -big or small -in and out of the dental chair. Dr. Le deeply values positive patient interaction and thrives when providing education, knowledge, and preventive care that keeps everyone looking and feeling their best.

Born in Hawaii and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Le is a graduate of the University of North Florida and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University (2017). It was during her schooling, as she observed multiple health fields and shadowed several dentists, that she realized patient relationships would be at the heart of her practice. As a practitioner with a growth mindset, Dr. Le furthered her work in the dental field in 2018 by joining the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics (AAFE) to further study facial anatomy and learn safe injectable techniques. Dr. Le excelled so highly in this venture that she now travels nationwide to train other dentists, as well as doctors, nurses and physicians assistants. She calls injectables the “sweet spot” of her profession, and loves how it allows patients to view dentistry in a different light.

This unique approach to apply a comprehensive, modern mindset to her practice matches Dr. Le’s vibrant and ambitious personality. When she’s not hustling to build her new dental business, Dr. Le loves to travel, try new foods with her fiance, and take walks with her 2 pups, Aiden and Maverick. As a testament to her active lifestyle, Dr. Le also enjoys biking at Jacksonville Beach, snowboarding in the Colorado mountains, and hiking up any mountain she can come across. Although she’s often on the go, Dr. Le still makes time to unwind because she truly believes in living with balance.

Dr. Le rises by lifting others. She volunteered at the Sulzbacher Center when she was a pre-dental student and continues to volunteer at the dental clinic until this day where she provides dental care for our homeless population. She also has partnered with and volunteers with Daniel Kids helping at-risk teenagers safely transition into independent living.
