This right here makes it all worth while. I worked with this beautiful young lady when she was a baby. She’s now 16 and came to shadow me yesterday. Seeing her mom and her and hearing how grateful they are for where she is today, well you just can’t put into words. A quote from her “you’re like a super hero”! Mom and I cried.

How many ages and how different ways can you utilize one classic game? It's so rewarding to see the variety of opportunities and successes. Oh and to see the expression on their precious faces when the timer goes off; a great way to work on the 'startle' reaction (including my own).

Hi all! Our OT graduate capstone student, Raven Mansouri, is developing a comprehensive handbook that will outline housing, employment, schooling, and day program options and resources to support families as their children transition into adulthood (primarily in the greater Jacksonville area but will also include national resources).

The survey attached is a key part of her project. It will help her gather information about your knowledge, experiences, hopes, concerns, and beliefs regarding your child’s future or current transition into adulthood. Your responses will guide the content of the handbook to ensure it is truly helpful and relevant to your needs.

You don't need to be local to complete the survey which can be completed in less than 10 minutes.

Thank you for supporting our OT students!

Hi, my name is Raven Mansouri! You may have already met me at Occuplay — I’m Nancy’s student for the summer. I’m currently in the process of earning my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) to become an occupational therapist. As part of this program, I am completing a capstone project, wh...
