For many families, the answer was always there. It just hadn't been named yet.

Tomorrow, Tracey Butler and Alex Doman are sitting down for a free live conversation about auditory and sensory processing challenges, what they are, what the research shows, and what life looks like when someone finally gets the support they need.

Tracey started this work because of her own son Ben, who was diagnosed with a severe auditory processing disorder. The answers available felt incomplete.

Then, she found The Listening Program®, became a certified provider, built a practice around it, trained more than 500 practitioners, brought it into more than 100 schools, and contributed to peer-reviewed research published in the International Journal of Listening.

She has sat across from thousands of families who felt exactly the way you might be feeling right now. She knows what changes when the right support arrives.

In this session, you will learn:
🔹 What auditory and sensory processing challenges look like across ages
🔹 What the peer-reviewed research on TLP outcomes actually found
🔹 What meaningful improvement looks like in real life
🔹 What to expect when you begin

This is incredible to see in our community.

My name is Katlyn Billue, and I have been practicing Spelling to Communicate (S2C) since 2019. This work has shaped the way I understand communication, autonomy, and the importance of truly presuming competence. I am a member of the faculty with the International Association for Spelling as Communication (I-ASC), where I support and mentor practitioners as they continue to grow in their practice.

Outside of sessions, I love to read, create, and think outside the box. I share my life with my dog, Sophie, and I find a lot of joy in the quieter, everyday moments. That creativity naturally carries into my work, where I enjoy problem-solving alongside my spellers and finding individualized approaches that support each person in building reliable, intentional communication.

The Jacksonville Speller Collective was created from a desire to build connection and shared growth. S2C practitioners continue to deepen their practice through collaboration and support from one another, and I believe that kind of community is essential. I also want families to feel supported and connected—to know they are not alone in their journey.

Through this collective, my hope is to foster a space where spellers, families, and practitioners can come together, learn from one another, and continue growing a strong, connected S2C community here in Jacksonville.

Most neuro systems are discussed separately.

In practice, they rarely function that way.

Auditory processing.
Visual processing.
Primitive reflex integration.

They are continuously influencing one another.

On February 25, Alex Doman is hosting a free live webinar that brings these domains into one integrated lens:

🧠 Sensory Systems and the Brain: The Auditory, Vision, and Primitive Reflex Triad

📅 Wednesday, February 25 | 60-Min
🕒 1:00 PM ET | 12:00 PM CT | 11:00 AM MT | 10:00 AM PT

Guest expert Patti Andrich offers a rare interdisciplinary perspective. As both an occupational therapist and an optometric vision therapist, she works at the intersection of these domains every day and has integrated The Listening Program® into her clinical framework since 2008.

In this session, we’ll explore:
🔹 How auditory processing can function as a neurological organizer
🔹 What visual processing truly represents in everyday performance
🔹 How primitive reflex patterns reflect overall system coordination

When these systems begin organizing together, progress often becomes clearer and more sustainable.

🔎 This conversation will expand how you think about brain development.

Day 2 of being operational in our new clinic space. It has been an intense, wild and amazing journey, purging the old and setting up the new!
After a handful of sessions and getting a feel for the flow, we’ve already made a few thoughtful tweaks—shifting things around, fine-tuning the layout, and adding some greenery to bring extra life into the room. It’s been energizing to see the space come together, and I’d say we’re off to a great start. 🌿
