There was something really special about helping my dental school friend finally feel confident in his smile.

Dan had trauma to his front teeth as a child, and over the years they were repaired with bonding. While that dentistry got him through for a long time, the teeth gradually darkened, and his smile never truly felt like his own.

When he told me he was finally ready to do something about it, I was honored that he trusted me to be the one to help him.

We kept this transformation very conservative with minimal preparation veneers, replacing older bonding and carefully using bonding to create a more even canvas underneath. That gave us the foundation to build a smile that feels brighter, more balanced, and most importantly, natural to him.

Cases like this mean a lot to me because they are about so much more than teeth. They are about helping someone let go of something they have carried for years and finally feel comfortable smiling again.

There was a time when I truly believed the only way to create a beautiful smile was to prepare the teeth.

The Smile Icon Course is the entry level porcelain veneer program at the Smile Stylist Training Center.

During Smile Icon, doctors do not just sit in a lecture hall.

They learn through a true hybrid model of education that includes lecture, hands on preparation and cementation workshops, and live patient observation.

During the course, attendees watch me prepare a patient for porcelain veneers and deliver 10 porcelain veneers live to in real time, in a real clinical setting.

This is what makes the Smile Stylist Training Center different.

Our programs are not taught by career lecturers who have not treated patients in years or who have never practiced at all.

They are taught by a practicing cosmetic dentist who still runs and owns a successful private practice and performs these cases every week.

Everything taught is real world, current, and clinically proven.

We are also an AGD PACE approved provider, and our training center was purpose built for advanced dental education.

We do not rent hotel ballrooms or operate as a pop up course.

We built a permanent facility dedicated entirely to training the next generation of elite cosmetic dentists.

We spend time customizing the temporary veneers to best balance the smile with the facial esthetics to seamlessly blend in the new teeth.

We do this to help communicate with the ceramist who makes the veneers to deliver a product that predictably makes the patient happy.
