In 1972, Janey wed Harlan Greeneberg and spent the next 53 years being married to her best friend. Their marriage was a loving partnership, and together they enjoyed many blessings such as family, wonderful friendships and traveling to 40 different countries.

Known for her quick wit, she was always ready with a humorous quip. She had a love of words, and even during the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, could score 100 percent on vocabulary quizzes.
