When she’s not providing exceptional care, Angela enjoys spending quality time with her children. To celebrate her well-deserved recognition, she chose a one-year subscription to Disney Plus—a magical treat for an amazing caregiver! ✨

Our residents were treated to a wonderful surprise before supper as the Alpha Mu Retired Teachers Sorority stopped by to sing beautiful Christmas carols! 🎶❤️

Their voices filled our halls with warmth, joy, and holiday spirit — the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season. 🌟

🍬👩‍🍳 Cooking Club Fun at Goldwater Care Pontiac! 👨‍🍳🍬

Our residents had a blast at Cooking Club making Fruity Pebble marshmallow treats! From mixing all the ingredients together to enjoying the sweet final result, it was the perfect way to spend a fun and tasty Friday afternoon. Smiles, laughter, and delicious treats made it a day to remember! 💛

🎉 A Full House of Fun at Goldwater Care Pontiac! 🎉
Today we had a fantastic visit from the Pontiac High School FFA! 🌾💙

They volunteered their time to play Bingo and board games with our residents as part of their service project — and they brought an amazing group of 70 students!

The room was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and wonderful conversations. Our residents absolutely loved the energy and kindness these students shared. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Pontiac FFA for making the day so special! We appreciate you! 🌟

🎶 Resident Outing Fun at Goldwater Care Pontiac! 🎶

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Vermillion Valley Show Choir Performance at Heartland Community College in Normal!

One special moment from the day: one of our residents—who was a member of her own show chorus back in the late 1960s—had the chance to meet one of the performers. Even sweeter, the performer is the daughter of the resident’s longtime friend. 💛
It was a beautiful afternoon filled with music, memories, and meaningful connections! 🎤✨

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes at Goldwater Care Pontiac! 🇺🇸
We proudly celebrated our veterans with a heartfelt Veterans Day program. We were honored to recognize nine veterans, including our very own Activity Director, who has also served our country. ❤️💙

🎶 Piano by Pam filled the room with beautiful music as Activity Aides Makayla and Ashlyn led a special program where each veteran shared about their service — when and why they served, their proudest moments, and what they missed most after their enlistment.

Residents also shared stories about their loved ones who served, and everyone enjoyed handmade cards and delicious refreshments. 🍪☕

Thank you to all who served — your bravery and dedication inspire us every day!

Join us in congratulating Joan Heberling, our Business Office Manager at Goldwater Pontiac, on receiving the Golden Achievement Award! 👏

Since joining us on January 29, 2025, Joan has shown incredible dedication—handling every task with accuracy, efficiency, and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Outside of work, she loves watching movies and cheering on her daughter at sporting events, always bringing that same positive energy and enthusiasm. 🎬🏆

🎃👻 Halloween Fun at Goldwater Care Pontiac! 👻🎃

We had a fantastic turnout for our Halloween celebrations! The day started with an afternoon visit from Saunemin Grade School — students showed off their amazing costumes in a fun parade for our residents and received some hefty goody bags in return! 🍬😊

Later in the evening, our trick-or-treaters arrived — around 175 children came through in just two hours! It was such a joy to see all the creative costumes and happy faces. 💛✨
