📢🌟 Calling all advocates for accessibility! 🌟📢

As part of the unwavering commitment to enhancing the health and mobility of individuals with disabilities, we stand with the Bipartisan House Disabilities Caucus on a pivotal issue that touches many lives.

Did you know that power standing systems integrated into power wheelchairs can profoundly impact the health and independence of wheelchair users? These systems assist with essential physiological needs and can prevent complications associated with limited mobility, such as muscle spasticity and pressure sores.

Yet despite the tremendous benefits, Medicare coverage for these life-changing technologies is still pending. The time to act is now! 🕒 We applaud the progress made with the inclusion of power seat elevation, but it's imperative we keep moving forward.

We're joining forces with U.S. Representatives Debbie Dingell and Brian Fitzpatrick to implore the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to open the National Coverage Analysis (NCA) for public comment. This is a crucial step toward securing Medicare coverage for power standing systems.

Your voice matters. Reach out to your U.S. Representative and urge their support for the Congressional sign-on letter to CMS. Your simple yet powerful action can open the door to better health outcomes and quality of life for our community.

The deadline for the House letter is October 4, 2024. Let's come together to ensure that this long-awaited coverage for power standing systems is no longer out of reach.
