In 2019, I shifted to a plant‑based lifestyle. It was the first time I truly listened to my body—and it opened a door I couldn’t close.
By 2021, that shift led me straight into Functional Medicine. Not because it was convenient, but because it was necessary for my health, my parents’ health, and the women I’m called to serve.
And one lesson from that journey still shapes everything I teach today:
🧠 Your corticolimbic system the part of your brain that processes emotion, stress, and safety is directly influenced by your hormones… and also regulates them.
So when cortisol stays high, it changes how your brain responds. When stress becomes chronic, it changes how you cope. And when that system becomes dysregulated, women feel it first through PMS, anxiety, mood swings, and emotional exhaustion.
This isn’t “just how life is.” This is your physiology signaling overload.
And when you reset the system, everything changes, your mood, your clarity, your energy, your capacity to show up.
If your body has been whispering (or yelling) that something is off… there is a root cause. And there is a way back!
