🎃👻 Halloween at Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac! 👻🎃
Our residents had a spooktacular time handing out candy to the community kids during our trick-or-treat event! The building was decked out in Halloween spirit, and earlier in the day our residents and staff joined in on the fun with a costume contest — congrats to our top three winners who took home cash prizes! 🧡🖤

🎉October Employee of the Month: Marvin! 🎉

Join us in celebrating Marvin, one of our amazing Dietary Aides here at Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac! Marvin has been part of our team for 6 years, and his dedication and positive attitude make a difference every day.

Marvin comes from a big family — he has 2 brothers and 3 sisters, and several of his family members also work here at Accolade! Outside of work, Marvin lives with friends who share his passion for creativity. Together, they enjoy making music and supporting Marvin’s biggest hobby — filmmaking. He loves visiting Chicago to film local bands and artists, and one day hopes to work on movies.

When asked what he enjoys most about working here, Marvin shared:

“Hearing stories from the residents and helping them with whatever I can. I also love working with my family.”

🌟 Department Head Spotlight: Meet Amanda, Our Business Office Manager! 🌟

This month we’re excited to shine a light on Amanda, our amazing Business Office Manager who has been part of our Accolade Healthcare family for 8 years!

💼 In her role, Amanda handles Medicaid applications and insurance, and is always ready to help residents and families with any questions about the financial side of care.

💖 When asked what she loves most about working here, she shared, “My favorite thing is how family-like we all really are.” During COVID, she especially enjoyed helping organize fun activities to brighten our residents’ days — a memory she still treasures.

🐾 Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her two daughters, two dogs, and two cats, grabbing lunch at Edingers in Pontiac, and dreams of one day visiting California!

We’re so thankful for all that Amanda does to support our residents, families, and team every day. 💙

Trisha has been a valued member of our Accolade family for six years, bringing compassion, dedication, and heart to everything she does. Outside of work, she and her husband, Mike, are celebrating 25 years of marriage, raising four children, cherishing their three grandchildren (with one more on the way!), and enjoying life with their six cats 🐾.

When asked what she loves most about her role, Trisha shared:
