We’re excited to recognize Tiffany, our amazing Dietary Aide, as this month’s Ace of the Month!

Tiffany is a true superstar — not only is she dedicated to our residents here at Accolade Healthcare, but she’s also a proud mom to 11 kids! ❤️ Her home is filled with creativity and fun, as she loves doing all kinds of arts and crafts activities with her children.

At Accolade, Tiffany shines by bringing positivity to our dietary department and truly enjoying the time she spends interacting with residents. Her warm personality and caring spirit make a difference every single day.

Today we celebrated Hot Breakfast Day with a delicious meal made extra special by our Administrator, Holly! ❤️ Staff enjoyed homemade biscuits & gravy and wrapped up the week with a cozy “Comfy Day” to relax and recharge. 🧸✨

🌟 Department Head Spotlight – Cathy Routien, HR Director 🌟

We are excited to spotlight our incredible HR Director, Cathy Routien!

Cathy has been part of the Accolade family for 3 years and 5 months, and her entire long-term care journey has been right here with us at Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac. 💙 She shares that her husband, Matt, and his love for Accolade inspired her to come work here — and we’re so thankful he did!

As our HR Director, Cathy’s favorite part of her job is working closely with our employees and being part of our residents’ lives. She loves walking alongside residents through both the highs and the lows, bringing love and laughter whenever she can. That heart for people is exactly what makes her so special in her role.

Outside of work, Cathy is incredibly blessed with a big, beautiful family. She is a proud mom of 9, a grandma to 5 grandchildren (with one more on the way!), and has been married for 30 years to the love of her life, Matt. She loves Jesus, enjoys gardening, adores the beach, and believes vacations are the best! 🌿🌊☀️

We are so thankful for the compassion, warmth, and joy Cathy brings to our team every single day. ❤️

Beads, bingo, and big smiles! 💜💚💛

Our residents had a wonderful Mardi Gras celebration filled with festive decorations, sweet treats, and lots of bingo fun! The room was full of laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of beads.

One lucky resident found the baby in the king cake — and proudly claimed their crown for the day! 👑

And one point… a few residents and staff even challenged each other to rock, paper, scissors to earn (or steal 😉) some extra beads — just a little added fun to the party!

🌟 Employee of the Month Spotlight: Tory Farney 🌟

Please help us congratulate Tory Farney, our Employee of the Month! Tory is an incredible Auxiliary Aide who brings kindness, energy, and a servant’s heart to everything he does.

Tory loves spending time with our residents, going room to room to visit, check in, and brighten their day with a friendly conversation or smile. Building connections with our residents is something he truly values, and it shows in the care he provides every single day.

Outside of work, Tory enjoys officiating wrestling, a passion that reflects his dedication, focus, and love for staying involved in the community.

When asked about his work, Tory shared that “It is so rewarding to serve others,”—and that perfectly sums up the heart he brings to our facility.
