We love continuing to cheer on our therapy families outside of the clinic. 💛

We’re especially excited to highlight a project from one of our past patients and his parents, who are creating a children’s book featuring a main character who wears orthotics. It’s a story rooted in real experience, representation, and heart.

Writing and illustrating a book is no small task — especially when you’re starting from scratch — but this mom and dad make an incredible team. Every page reflects their shared vision and lived connection to the world of orthotics and pediatric therapy.

This book was inspired by moments many families will recognize:
✨ hours of therapy and hard work
✨ trying again after falls and frustrations
✨ adjusting to braces (and all the big feelings that come with it!)
✨ wanting to fit in and be seen
✨ and the resilience that shines through it all

Their goal is to help:
• kids who wear orthotics feel represented
• parents feel supported and empowered to advocate
• other children learn empathy and inclusion
• everyone else better understand what life looks like through an orthotic-wearing child’s eyes

It’s a passion project created from the heart — not with AI, not with a publishing team — just two parents who want to make the world a little kinder and more informed.

We’re so proud of them and can’t wait to watch this story unfold. 💛

This year, we’re taking a pause from our online Holiday Shop for a Cause, but we remain incredibly thankful for the continued support from our community.
