We’re looking for a dedicated, compassionate Imaging Technologist Assistant to join us at Coastal Imaging! This role is full-time and includes:
- Prepping patients before and after scans
- Starting IVs for contrast
- Assisting with PRP and fluoroscopy procedures
- Helping with scheduling when needed

Dense breast tissue is a common and normal finding on a mammogram. It means there is a higher amount of fibrous and glandular tissue compared to fatty tissue in the breast. About 40–50% of women have dense breasts.

Why Does It Matter?
• Screening Challenges: Dense tissue appears white on a mammogram—just like tumors—making it harder to detect cancer.
• Slightly Increased Risk: Women with dense breasts may have a slightly higher risk of developing breast cancer.

What Can You Do?
If you have dense breasts, talk to your healthcare provider. They may recommend additional screening, like breast ultrasound or MRI, to improve detection.

Understanding your breast density is an important part of managing your breast health.
