Heartfelt Highlights
• What inspired you to join hospice care? I was with a home health company that merged with a hospice company years ago and when one of my long-time patients was getting moved to the hospice side; I just could not let him go and asked to move him
• What do you love most about working at Bridge Hospice? The unbelievably amazing people Bridge has brought into my life! I love my work family and love the impact we are making on our community.
• Share a favorite moment, story, or memory from your time here. I took a call one night to answer a billing question and ended up on the phone with a family member of a patient of ours for a few hours talking, crying, laughing; you name it. She was going through a difficult time and as much as she needed that connection right then I think I needed it more.
• How does being locally owned make a difference to you and the families we serve? In a way it feels like we are family members caring for family members. We are all connected, and our bottom line is always patient care first.
• What’s something people might not know about your role? I like to say that I take care of the people who take care of our patients.
• Favorite Savannah spot to relax or recharge? When I first arrived in Savannah (husband is military) we had to quarantine since coming from another country (during covid) and had to be escorted on base and had to wait at Hollbrock pond. This was the first time I had seen a Gator!!! This was the first time in 3 days I had been off a plane or bus!! My kids played and it just felt amazing, the moss trees were stunning, and no one was there but us so that place holds a very special place to my heart.
• Share a hidden talent or fun fact about yourself! I sound impeccably close to a goat when I sing ;) it’s pretty impressive.
• Three words that describe Bridge Hospice? Unmatched, amazing, heartfelt
• What’s your message to new team members or volunteers joining Bridge? Due to military life, I have had the pleasure of working for many companies in many states/countries and in many roles. I can 1000% say Bridge Hospice has stolen my heart. Tony is the most amazing generous person I have ever worked for and if you take care of his patients and his team he will take care of you.

🌿 A Moment of Grace and Remembrance 🌿

At Bridge Hospice, we believe every life deserves to be honored with dignity, warmth, and reflection. This week, our team gathered for a special memorial service to celebrate the lives of those we've had the privilege to care for.

From the prayers offered by our compassionate chaplain to the soulful signing by one of our beloved CNAs, the afternoon was filled with quiet beauty and heartfelt intention. Our staff prepared a lovely spread, shared stories, and held space for remembrance in the most meaningful way.
We’re proud to be locally owned and operated, and even prouder of the heart our team brings to every moment—especially the ones that matter most.

• What inspired you to join hospice care? I’ve always believed that every person deserves dignity, comfort, and love in their final days. Becoming a CNA in hospice care allows me to be a source of peace and reassurance – not just for the patients, but for their families too. It’s more than a job or me; it’s a calling from the heart.
• What do you love most about working at Bridge Hospice? The love and support that flows every single day. We aren’t just coworkers – we’re family. We lean on each other, celebrate together, and most importantly, work side by side to give our patients the compassion and respect they deserve.
• Share a favorite moment, story, or memory from your time here. I’m sitting talking with the patients, and they are telling me stories about their younger days. Their eyes light up, and laughter fills the air as if we’d known each other forever. In those moments, I realized how powerful it is just to be present – to listen, share, and help someone feel seen and valued.
• How does being locally owned make a difference to you and the families we serve? Because we’re locally owned, our care comes from a place of true community connection. The closeness makes the care deeply personal and full of heart.
• What’s something people might not know about your role? Even in hospice, there is so much joy. I’ve shared belly laughs, sung along to favorite songs, and even done a little dancing with patients. We create beautiful memories – ones that bring light, event in the heaviest moments.
• Favorite Savannah spot to relax or recharge? Forsyth Park! I love sitting under the big oak trees and just taking in the peace and beauty.
• Share a hidden talent or fun fact about yourself! I love cracking jokes and making people laugh. Whether it’s with friends, family or patients, I believe a good laugh can brighten any day. I’m always up for a good time and creating happy memories.
• Three words that describe Bridge Hospice? Compassionate, Family, Heartfelt.
• What’s your message to new team members or volunteers joining Bridge? You’re joining more just a workplace – you’re joining a family. Lead with your heart, treat every patient like your own loved one, and you’ll make a difference every single day.
