We are late posting, but the fun from National Nursing Home Week is still fresh in our minds! 🌸

Our Skilled Nursing Facility ended the week Friday with donuts & coffee followed by a big BBQ for staff and residents. We also had lots of laughs taking silly pictures during our scavenger hunt! 📸😂

Thank you to everyone who helped make the week so special for our residents. ❤️

Our residents have been staying busy and creative here at Residential Care! 💐🎨🎣
From writing future letters to themselves full of hopes and goals, to painting beautiful flowers for DIY vases, their creativity has truly been shining. Residents also had fun creating their own version of a fishing pond and making colorful bottle-bottom flowers! 🌸🐟
These activities are more than just crafts — they encourage imagination, self-expression, teamwork, and confidence while creating meaningful memories together. We are so proud of all the hard work and creativity our residents continue to show every day! 💛

Our National Nursing Home Week fun continued yesterday with a full day of smiles and laughter! 💐

We started the morning with delicious bagels and great company, then put our luck to the test during “Rob the Table” where residents walked away with lots of goodies and plenty of laughs! 🎲🎁
We also challenged our minds with a fun game of Jeopardy before ending the evening with our Family Bingo Night.

The room was filled with fun, jokes, lighthearted teasing, cheering, and so much laughter between residents, families, staff, and volunteers. These are the moments that remind us we truly are one big family here at Oakdale Care Center.

Today a few of our residents at Residential had the opportunity to work alongside our amazing maintenance supervisor while learning how to build new beds! 🛏️🔨
This was more than just a project — it was a hands-on learning experience that helped our residents practice following directions, teamwork, problem-solving, and building responsibilities. Activities like these help encourage independence, confidence, and valuable life skills in a fun and meaningful way.
A huge thank you to our maintenance supervisor for taking the time to teach, guide, and support our residents throughout the process. We truly appreciate all that you do! 👏❤️

Another wonderful day of National Nursing Home Week at Oakdale! 🌸✨

Today our residents put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test with our “Inside Out” themed escape room — and let’s just say there were LOTS of laughs, excitement, and fun surprises along the way! 🧩🔑🎉

After escaping the mix-up, we slowed things down with some reading time, enjoyed a few rounds of bingo, and wrapped up the day with Resident Council where our residents shared ideas, concerns, and ways to continue making Oakdale feel like home. ❤️

To make the day even sweeter, both staff and residents also enjoyed our candy bar filled with lots of tasty treats! 🍬🍫

We love creating moments of joy, laughter, and connection with our amazing residents each and every day! 🌼

National Nursing Home Week is in full bloom at Oakdale! 🌸🌼

Yesterday our residents enjoyed painting kindness rocks with our amazing buddy group and snacking on popcorn during bingo. Today was filled with music, laughter, and dancing as the talented students from Twin Rivers Jr. High came to perform for us! Residents sang along, danced, and shook their maracas while enjoying every minute of the performance. 🎶💃🪇

The fun continued with flower painting, refreshing lemonade, and special staff appreciation treats featuring popcorn and lemonade for our hardworking team. Thank you to everyone helping make this week so meaningful for our residents and staff. These are truly the Moments in Bloom we will remember! 💛
