🎃 Halloween Highlights at Oakdale! 👻
Our Halloween celebrations were packed with fun, creativity, and community spirit!

We kicked things off with a big Trunk-or-Treat, and the turnout from our community was amazing. Employees went all out decorating their vehicles, and everyone enjoyed the treats, costumes, and smiles!

We also enjoyed a week full of spooky fun — from X-ray hands and pumpkin painting to other festive Halloween crafts that kept everyone laughing and creating. 🎨🖐️💀

Then we wrapped it all up with our Resident Halloween Party, filled with music, games, and plenty of costumes and candy!

These moments were just too good not to share — we had an unforgettable Halloween at Oakdale! 🧡✨

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸
On Tuesday, we had the privilege of honoring our incredible veterans with a beautiful ceremony here at Oakdale.

A heartfelt thank you to Crown Hospice of Poplar Bluff , our wonderful volunteers, and all the staff who worked together to make this meaningful event possible.

Most importantly, thank you to our veterans — for your service, your courage, and the sacrifices you’ve made for all of us. We are truly grateful. ❤️🇺🇸

✨ What a Day at Oakdale! ✨

A huge thank you to our nursing students who joined us today — your energy and helping hands made everything run smoothly!

First up was Penny Toss Twister, one of our all-time favorite games! Lots of prizes, lots of cheering, and LOTS of happy winners! 🪙🎉

Then things got extra silly with Cheese Head — yes, it’s exactly as messy as it sounds! 🧀😆
Shower caps ✔️
Cool Whip ✔️
Cheeseballs ✔️
Laughter that could be heard down the halls ✔️✔️✔️

We tossed, we giggled, we got VERY sticky… and after all that competition, we might just have a good ol’ friendly rematch in our future! 😉

Thank you to everyone who made today so joyful. Days like this remind us why we love what we do! ❤️

Big congratulations to Ms. Sherri, our Resident of the Month! 🎉
Ms. Sherri is always outgoing, positive, and willing to help in any way she can — constantly spreading love and kindness throughout our home. 💖
✨Also a huge shoutout to Sheldon, our Employee of the Month! 🙌
Sheldon sets a great example of teamwork, always stepping in when needed and making a difference every day. 💪
And let’s not forget Matt, our amazing housekeeper — we want to show him some love and appreciation for all his hard work and dedication that keeps Oakdale shining! 🧼✨

🏀🎯 Our residents had an amazing time playing Ball Knockout today! They were challenging their minds, aiming for that perfect shot, and showing off some serious focus and fun! 😄👏
So many laughs, smiles, and friendly competition filled the room — it’s all about staying active and enjoying every moment together! ❤️💪

💪🎈 Our residents had a blast today getting active and working up a little sweat with a fun balloon toss game! Lots of laughter, teamwork, and great reflexes on display! 🎯👏
We followed it up with another exciting game to challenge our hand-eye coordination — everyone showed great focus and friendly competition! 🥳
Staying active and having fun together is what it’s all about! ❤️

Our dedicated Activities Director Bernice Larkins baked up some delicious homemade blueberry muffins this morning — the perfect start to a fun-filled day! 🧁✨
Our Residents also had a blast with our Penny Toss game, showing off their aim and winning some great prizes! 🎁👏

Smiles, laughter, and sweet memories — that’s what our community is all about! 💖

🎃 Halloween Spirit Week – Wacky Wednesday!

What a wacky and wonderful Wednesday we had here at Oakdale! It’s always a bonus when you don’t have to decide what to wear — just throw on whatever you find and call it “fashion.” Some of us looked like we got dressed with our eyes closed, but that was all part of the fun! 😄

What a great way to spread laughter and spirit this week! 💜🧡

🎃👒 Halloween Spirit Week Kickoff! – Mad Hat Monday! 👒🎃

We kicked off Halloween Spirit Week in style with Mad Hat Monday! Residents had an absolute blast picking out and creating their own wild and wonderful hats — the crazier, the better! 😄✨

During craft time, we kept the fun rolling by making the cutest little hedgehogs and scarecrows, adding even more fall spirit around the building. 🍂🦔🎩

It was a day full of laughter, creativity, and Halloween cheer — and we’re just getting started! 🧡🖤

Give a big congratulations to our resident Lisa for being the closest guess in our “Guess How Many Candy Corn” game! 🏆🌽

Their sweet guessing skills earned them the big win and lots of bragging rights! 😄✨
We had so much fun celebrating Halloween together with games, treats, and plenty of candy corn laughs!

Way to go, Lisa— you’ve got that Halloween magic! 👻💛🧡🤍
