To make puff pastry King Cakes on a stick, you will create mini crown shapes from puff pastry, fill them with almond frangipane or cream cheese, seal, decorate with colored sugars after baking, and insert sticks once cooled for handheld treats.

Start with chilled puff pastry, cut circles, add filling in the center (leaving a border), top with another pastry circle, seal edges, score decoratively, egg wash, and bake until golden. Once cool, drizzle with icing and sprinkle purple, green, and gold sugars, then add the sticks.

Ingredients & Tools

Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets (thawed)
Filling: Almond paste (frangipane) or cream cheese, sugar, butter, egg, vanilla/rum.

Decorations: Powdered sugar, milk/water, food coloring (purple, green, gold), colored sugars.

Tools: Baking sheets, parchment paper, cookie cutters (or a pan as a guide), knife, pastry brush, small wooden skewers/sticks.
