Lately, the signs have been everywhere - but not in loud, cinematic ways.

They have arrived quietly, with intention.
A little nudge to help you notice, but no fanfare.
They feel like the warmth of a hug long missed.
The memory that lives on in the laughter and tears of a family.

Like this little lady beetle that appeared in my Aunt Karen’s living room on Christmas night, right as we were speaking about my Yia-Yia, my Papou, and the roots and stories that make up our family tree.

It was so small it would’ve been easy to miss, and that’s exactly why it landed with such gravity and meaning.
It felt like confirmation that they were listening and letting us know that they are still here - always with us.

I tell people all the time:
grief is just love wearing a different name tag.

Sometimes our love doesn’t know where to go anymore, so it changes shape. It becomes a story. A symbol. A sign.
A quiet visitor landing on your finger at exactly the right moment.

A reminder from spirit that we are still being held by those who taught us how to love in the first place.

Today marks our first day back after Yule + winter rest.
The shelves may shift. The walls may change. There may be paint cans, boxes, and a little beautiful chaos along the way - but the heart of this space remains steady.

Community has never been about the building.
It’s about the people who gather within it.
The conversations, the care, the magic made in real time.

We only have 9 open days left in our Poquoson home, and we’d love to spend them with you.

This space has never just been a shop.
It has been a sanctuary.
A soft place to land when the world felt too loud.

A room where grief could sit hand in hand with gratitude and grit - where strangers could become kin, and learn that magic doesn’t live in things, it lives in connection.

Every altar built, every tear cried, every laugh that has echoed off the drum on the corner shelf…
Each of these is its own form of magic - the kind of spell that can only be cast by the act of living.

Every single one of these moments mattered.
Even the ones no one else saw.
Even the ones no one else heard.

As we prepare to close this door and move into our new shop home, we find ourselves in that familiar balancing act that 2025 taught us all about - holding both gratitude and grief in the same breath.

You don’t leave a place like this untouched. Thank you for helping us build something sacred into every seemingly ordinary day.

The walls and address of our space may change, but the burning heart of our community hearth never will.

This past year has stretched so many of us - oftentimes to the point that we wondered if we would break and shatter. We are eternally grateful and humbled by our community.
