We are excited to welcome Dr. Uzma Shahbaz to our dental team as the new owner of First Light Dental of Coastal VA

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Uzma’s passion for dentistry and commitment to excellence brought her to the United States in pursuit of advanced education and professional growth.

Understanding that great dentistry is built on a strong foundation of knowledge, Dr. Uzma first earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Pakistan. She then completed a three-year residency in Restorative Dentistry, further honing her clinical expertise.
After several years of practicing in Pakistan, Dr. Uzma moved to the U.S. and chose to continue her education at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California—further demonstrating her dedication to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

We are proud to have Dr. Uzma on board and look forward to the compassionate, expert care she will provide to our patients.
