About The Doctor

George B. Symonds, OD, started Peninsula Contact Lens & Vision Care Clinic in 1987. He provides comprehensive eye exams for glasses or contact lenses for patients of all ages, pre- and post-operative care, and co-management with local ophthalmologists.

Dr. Symonds attended New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, from 1982-83, and Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR, from 1983-86 where he graduated with distinction and earned his Doctor of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.

In his free time, Dr. Symonds enjoys running, bicycling, archery, hiking, and spending time with his wife Rose, sons Bruce and Andrew, and grandson Brody.
