A few tips for winter.

Definitely wear socks my friend. It’s an underrated benefit to your health. 😘

& test these tips out. We are not meant to push all the time, in everything we do…we need cycles of restoration.

Swap sweat inducing fast vinyasa for slower, pose holding hatha yoga, or restorative, or yin yoga.

Swap HIIT, for slow steady endurance —or hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing

Strength training is the number one style of exercise that restores Kidney Qi —the non-cardio version…slow steady reps with increasing weight over time. This causes muscle to tug on bones (the tissue of the Kidney in TCM), and not only causes bone density improvement, but at the same time -causes Kidney Qi growth

*remember in TCM an organ that I write about is a much larger concept than the organ itself

It’s true! And when you think about it, it makes a lot of sense to move/exercise with the energy of the season.

Feel like slowing down? It’s natural to some extent.

Winter is the time to do a little less, take a pause and restore ourselves.

This will enable us to have strong, vital energy on the spring & summer.
