The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Washington State Department of Health (DOH), and officials in nine other states are investigating an outbreak of botulism linked to powdered infant formula produced by ByHeart.

We have a plan in place to aid our EBT cardholder community during the ongoing government shutdown.

PAFM will offer SNAP EBT cardholders $10 in SNAP MM vouchers and $5 in our own Protein Match vouchers for a total of $15 each week until a resolution is reached. The cardholder will need to check-in at the Manager Booth to present their card and have it logged; one-time every Saturday. These vouchers can be redeemed for fresh vegetables, fruit, and proteins from the farm stands at the market.

Many are worried about our neighbors losing SNAP benefits in November, and in time with so much uncertainty, our community has shown up strong once again.

The response to this crisis has already been inspiring to all of us at the Port Angeles Food Bank. The donations are coming in faster than ever, the phones are ringing, and people want to know what they can do to help. YOU are the reason our neighbors will still have food on the table next month. When they come to us for support, YOU will be the reason we can help them.

Never underestimate the power your donations have to make real change. This community is a beautiful example of what it looks like to step up and help each other.

Good morning everyone! This is the last week to get your diapers bought for First Steps Diaper Derby! We are competing with some heavy competition! We have boxes located at: Elks,Juvenile Services, Fitness West, and Shirley’s Cafe and of course outside our office door or cash donation accepted and we will run and purchase diapers!
