🎉 Our community BBQ at Village Concepts of Enumclaw was a blast! Residents, friends, and family enjoyed delicious food, great company, and bid farewell to another fantastic summer. The highlight of the afternoon was live music performed by our amazing receptionist Ann’s husband! Ann even joined him for a few songs! Our wonderful Admin Assistant Michelle brought the Philippines to Village Concepts of Milton! As part of our Cultural Celebration Series, Michelle wanted to share the culture of her birth country with the residents, and they loved every minute! She transformed the fireside into a traditional Bahay Kubo (hut) and shared everything from crafts, games, Filipino mango ice cream, festivals, traditional clothing, and indigenous animals including the national bird, a groovy, shaggy, feather-headed Monkey-Eating Eagle! Thank you, Michelle! 🇵🇭🎉

As part of our Cultural Celebrations Series, Village Concepts of Oak Harbor recently celebrated Japanese culture! 🎉 Oak Harbor has a strong Japanese exchange program, and we’re proud to partner with them to host students several times a year. During their visit, the students taught our residents how to make origami, played games, and shared beautiful singing and piano performances. Thank you to our Japanese exchange students for such a wonderful experience!

Our amazing Executive Director, Abby, and Maintenance Director, Donovan, at Village Concepts of Marysville recently treated residents to a live lumpia-making demonstration! Residents also enjoyed a discussion with Abby about the beautiful Filipino language and cultural traditions, as well as a video of the Tinikling, the national dance of the Philipines. ✨ Thank you, Abby and Donovan, for sharing your cooking skills and Filipino culture! 💛

We loved celebrating National Dog Day with Susie at Village Concepts of Port Angeles! 🐾 Susie is a beloved former pet of one of our residents and is fondly remembered by many. It was so special to see her recognize her old surroundings and greet her familiar friends upon arrival. 💛

Our team at Village Concepts of Port Angeles recently did some fishing 🎣 at the Port Angeles City Pier, our favorite downtown spot that features ferry watching, concerts, and world class fishing! One of our residents, Sharon, was lucky enough to catch a local Dungeness Crab! 🦀 It was too small to take home, so Sharon made sure he was returned to the ocean. Thank you to all our residents who joined us for this local adventure! We can't wait for the next one!

🎉 We celebrated Village Concepts Communities' 50th anniversary with our amazing residents and staff! Village Concepts has been proudly family-owned and serving seniors in the Northwest for 50 years. We’re honored to be part of the Village Concepts family and to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside our sister communities, residents, and team members. We enjoyed a special prime rib dinner, cake 🎂, a heartfelt letter from our CEO, and plenty of memorable photos. Enjoy some of our favorite moments from the day!

Our new Maintenance Director, Keith, hosted his very first activity at Village Concepts of Port Angeles : "Hot Dogs and Soda with Keith"! 🌭🥤 We had a fantastic turnout and it was a great opportunity for residents to meet the new face in our community. The event took place in our "Lagoon Saloon," a sitting area in our courtyard where everyone could enjoy the relaxing sounds of our fountain. Our new sous chef was also on the scene, working the grill like a pro and serving up delicious hot dogs with all the fixings, along with refreshing Coca-Colas. Enjoy some of our favorite moments!

🎉 Happy 107th Birthday to our beloved resident Doris at Village Concepts of Port Angeles! We celebrated in style with a special "Doris Day", featuring all her favorite meals: pancakes and bacon for breakfast, spaghetti and meatballs for lunch, and crispy chicken strips with French fries for dinner! In the afternoon, we threw a fabulous party with live country music by Buck Ellard and about 50 of Doris’s closest and dearest friends. The celebration was topped off with her favorite birthday cake with lemon filling and buttercream frosting. 🍰💛

Doris looked absolutely radiant like the queen she is 👑 with her hair styled at the Park View Villas salon, wearing her sparkling gold diamond tiara and birthday sash. Her daughter Sharon says Doris loved every moment! We are so lucky to have Doris as part of our Park View community. Please join us in wishing her the happiest of birthdays! 🥳
