We loved celebrating National Dog Day with Susie at Village Concepts of Port Angeles! 🐾 Susie is a beloved former pet of one of our residents and is fondly remembered by many. It was so special to see her recognize her old surroundings and greet her familiar friends upon arrival. 💛

🌺 The theme of the summer at our Village Concepts Communities is definitely Aloha! 🌴 Our team at Village Concepts of Sedro-Woolley hosted their annual summer BBQ — Hawaiian-style! Everyone dressed to impress in colorful Hawaiian shirts and leis, and the residents even performed a fun chair hula dance. Check out some of the highlights below!

Join us next Tuesday, September 3rd, at The Brewmaster's Taproom for our Memory Café, hosted by Village Concepts of Fairwood! ☕💜 Whether you’re a caregiver, family member, or part of the memory care community, this is a welcoming place for support, resources, and connection. More details below!

Mark your calendar, next Tuesday, 9/2, is our second memory cafe from 1-3 pm. This community event is geared towards those in a memory care journey, be it as caregivers, relatives or patients themselves. No purchase is necessary, we just want to hold space for those who maybe need to talk or relax among those in similar situations. We have partnered with Village Concepts Communities who will be providing lights refreshments and well as offering information.

🎉 Village Concepts of Milton hosted an amazing car show with the Gig Harbor Cruisers! Residents took a "cruise" down memory lane as they spent the afternoon with some pretty cool vintage cars and their owners 😍. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special event and the Gig Harbor Cruisers for making it happen! We can't wait to do it again!

Our team at Village Concepts of Port Angeles recently did some fishing 🎣 at the Port Angeles City Pier, our favorite downtown spot that features ferry watching, concerts, and world class fishing! One of our residents, Sharon, was lucky enough to catch a local Dungeness Crab! 🦀 It was too small to take home, so Sharon made sure he was returned to the ocean. Thank you to all our residents who joined us for this local adventure! We can't wait for the next one!

Our friends from Village Concepts of Fairwood host a monthly Memory Care Café at The Brewmaster's Taproom 🍻. Residents join patrons for a round of bingo and some delicious root beer. This monthly event brings our memory care community together with neighbors and friends for meaningful connection, fun, and friendship. We can't wait to do it again next month! 💜

Our Village Concepts of Auburn community hosts an annual BBQ for Auburn’s National Night Out! 🍔🎉 A big thank you to the Valley Regional Fire Authority, Battalion Chief Kevin Morehart, Councilmember Lisa Stirgus, and our neighbors from the City of Auburn for spending the evening with our residents and team. We’re proud to be part of the Auburn community! ❤️

Summers at Village Concepts of Port Angeles are the best! ☀️ Our residents love strolling the walking paths of our 7 acres of park-like grounds and our shaded courtyard is the perfect place to chat with friends or have a BBQ picnic. Marketing Director Anthony says they often spot deer wandering through or blue heron taking a dip in their fish pond! If you stop by for a visit, don't forget to check out our majestic fountain (it's spectacular)! ⛲😍

🎉 We celebrated Village Concepts Communities' 50th anniversary with our amazing residents and staff! Village Concepts has been proudly family-owned and serving seniors in the Northwest for 50 years. We’re honored to be part of the Village Concepts family and to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside our sister communities, residents, and team members. Our new Maintenance Director, Keith, hosted his very first activity at Village Concepts of Port Angeles : "Hot Dogs and Soda with Keith"! 🌭🥤 We had a fantastic turnout and it was a great opportunity for residents to meet the new face in our community. The event took place in our "Lagoon Saloon," a sitting area in our courtyard where everyone could enjoy the relaxing sounds of our fountain. Our new sous chef was also on the scene, working the grill like a pro and serving up delicious hot dogs with all the fixings, along with refreshing Coca-Colas. Enjoy some of our favorite moments!

🎉 Happy 107th Birthday to our beloved resident Doris at Village Concepts of Port Angeles! We celebrated in style with a special "Doris Day", featuring all her favorite meals: pancakes and bacon for breakfast, spaghetti and meatballs for lunch, and crispy chicken strips with French fries for dinner! In the afternoon, we threw a fabulous party with live country music by Buck Ellard and about 50 of Doris’s closest and dearest friends. The celebration was topped off with her favorite birthday cake with lemon filling and buttercream frosting. 🍰💛

Doris looked absolutely radiant like the queen she is 👑 with her hair styled at the Park View Villas salon, wearing her sparkling gold diamond tiara and birthday sash. Her daughter Sharon says Doris loved every moment! We are so lucky to have Doris as part of our Park View community. Please join us in wishing her the happiest of birthdays! 🥳

We held a flag-raising ceremony at Village Concepts of Port Angeles to celebrate our new flagpole—just in time for the 4th of July! 🇺🇸 We were honored to have seven U.S. Navy men and women from NAS Whidbey Island perform the ceremony and join us for lunch. We also had one of our very own in uniform! 👏 Our residents were deeply touched by their presence and participation in this special event.
