A true Port Aransas staple, Bernie’s is the go-to spot for nightlife, where happy hour stretches well beyond the hour, and the dance floor stays packed with fun-seekers ready to dance the night away. Drop in anytime to spin the jukebox, then stick around in the evenings when the live DJ turns the energy all the way up.

Dancing is only part of the draw. Bernie’s is famous in Port A for crazy-good drink specials, pool, poker, and a menu that never leaves anyone hungry. Snack favorites like pork egg rolls, Frito pie, and chips & queso keep things casual, while the full lineup of ⅓-pound juicy burgers covers everything from classic double cheeseburgers to bold flavors like green chile cheeseburgers and teriyaki pineapple burgers.

Sandwich lovers will feel right at home with Boar’s Head meats and Texas-sized favorites, including thick-cut pan-fried bologna, super grilled cheese, and the T.A.B.C.—turkey, avocado, bacon, pepper jack, and spicy Cajun mayo on Texas toast.

All ages are welcome until 7 p.m.; after that, it’s 21+ to keep the party going. The full kitchen is open daily starting at 11 a.m., with a late-night limited menu available Sunday–Thursday from 8 p.m.–2 a.m. and Friday–Saturday from 1 a.m.–2 a.m.
