This week is Nurse Practitioners week! Acadiana Practitioners is celebrating our 14, yes 14 Nurse Practitioners that make us who we are today! We believe a captain is only as good as his shipmates and our shipmates are incredible! In 2018, Dustin and I started Acadiana Practitioners as a little pirogue with the desire to care for those in our community! We continue to strive to do that today while being the hands and feet of Jesus! Throughout the last seven years, we have grown exponentially and have definitely endured some growing pains and rough seas. One of the constants that has kept us afloat is our Nurse Practitioners. They have left their sick babies to take care of yours. They have worked tirelessly through the pandemic. They have cried with you or for you! So we celebrate each of them today and to let you know a little personal tidbit about them! If they have made a difference in any of your days, please let us know!!! We appreciate all of you and are blessed with those that allow each of us to care for our community! So enjoy the pics and the personal reflections from each of our NPs We wish all of them the best week!!! Happy Nurse Practitioner’s week to all of you!!

Thank all of you for your votes and kind words! It was awesome reading comments about how our staff has made an impact not only on your health, but also your heart! We had some tough competition and our teams were definitely competitive! The winners of Acadiana Practitioner’s Annual Halloween Costume is……….Cirque de Crazy!!!!!!

OK guys we need your help. Acadiana Practitioner’s annual costume contest between each of our clinics and departments is again today. As many of you know, we have significantly expanded over the last year therefore we have several to vote on. Our girls and guys will win some cash!!!! We cannot wait to see our patient’s reactions!! Our staff is having so much fun with this and we appreciate all they do! We pray it brings some joy to our patients today! Voting will end at midnight tonight!!!!

Acadiana Practitioners is pleased to announce that Dr. Erica Jones, a specialist in Internal Medicine, has joined the Acadiana Specialty Clinic. 🔴🎉
The leadership team at Acadiana Practitioners is excited to welcome Dr. Jones to their medical staff. Her combination of skill and expertise in internal medicine, along with her commitment to the community, she will no doubt be an invaluable addition to the team.
“Acadiana Practitioners group is very excited to have a local, home grown physician back home ready to treat patients. I personally watched Erica grow up and can’t think of a better match to join our practice,” said Dustin Miller, Co-Owner.
Dr. Jones graduated from LSUHSC Medical School in New Orleans and completed her training with the LSUHSC Internal Medicine Residency in Lafayette. She is Internal Medicine Board Eligible and a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Jones was a high school Mathematics and Physics teacher.
“As a native of Lawtell, LA, it has been my dream to serve this community and the surrounding areas. I aim to provide up-to-date evidence-based quality care to all patients with each interaction. Moreover, my past experience as an educator drives my passion for health literacy. As such, I strive to equip each patient with knowledge to enable individuals to better advocate for themselves and their loved ones. I am honored to join my esteemed colleagues to serve the people of this community.”
