As temperatures drop, it's crucial to remember how freezing weather can affect those who are most vulnerable, especially our hospice patients. ❤️

🔹 Keep Warm & Safe: Ensure patients' living spaces are heated adequately. Use blankets and warm clothing, but avoid electric blankets unless recommended by their care team.
🔹 Stay Hydrated: Cold weather can dehydrate, so remind patients to drink fluids even if they don’t feel thirsty.
🔹 Check In Regularly: Frequent check-ins can provide comfort and ensure they're safe during extreme weather.
🔹 Emergency Plans: Have backup plans in place for power outages, including alternate heating sources or transportation if needed.

It's also essential to bring your pets indoors to protect them from the cold. If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them.

Let’s come together to support our loved ones and neighbors during this chilly season. 💕 If you or someone you know is a hospice patient in need of assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at (956) 361-5558.

Stay warm, stay safe, and share this to spread the word! ❄️
