You’ve thought about yoga, but getting down on the floor isn’t fun. Maybe because of an injury or a joint replacement. Whatever the reason, there’s a yoga class for you-

CHAIR YOGA

A chance to get all the benefits of yoga while sitting in a chair or standing, holding the chair.

This is a 6-week series, 2x/week, for 12 classes total.
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00-9:45am

Most people are doing the right thing for the wrong problem.

You want a calmer nervous system. The first answer you try is the obvious one. You add meditation.

It works for a week. Then your body tells you it wasn’t the whole story.

The body needs more than one input. Stretch is one. Strength is one. Stillness is one. They don’t replace each other. They fill in for each other.

That’s what one full class is built to do. Find the overall.

By week two, you stop tracking it. By week three, the calm nervous system shows up at dinner, before you fall asleep, in the conversation you had with your coworker that didn’t escalate the way it used to.

Most people think the answer to stress is somewhere outside the body.

More medication. More vacation. More discipline.

The body’s already telling you what it needs. You just haven’t given it the room.

One weekly yin class is enough to start.

Not because it’s magic. Because the body responds the second someone listens.

A week in, the nervous system starts feeling different at the kitchen counter. In the school pickup line. Three minutes before bed. That’s where you’ll know it’s working.
