🚗 “Red car or blue car?”

Choices can make it easier for kids to process and respond — and feel successful doing it! 🙌

Want an easy way to build your child’s language skills today? Try the “Pause, Look, and Model” strategy during play! 🎲
When your child reaches for a toy, looks at you, or seems excited, pause for a few seconds and look expectantly instead of jumping in right away. This creates a natural opportunity for them to use a word, sound, or gesture to communicate. 💬

Then model the word/phrase and fill the request
🍟 “Eat!”
🚗 “Go car!”
🫧 “Blow bubbles!”

Small pauses can lead to BIG communication moments! 🌟

✨ Occupational Therapy: brushing, feeding, or walking a dog builds fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and independence.
✨ Speech-Language Therapy: talking to, giving commands, or storytelling about a dog boosts language, vocabulary, and social communication.
✨ Physical Therapy: throwing a ball, running, or practicing commands with a dog encourages movement, balance, and strength.
