Stop making these Invisalign mistakes.

As an orthodontic assistant, I see these every single day and they can seriously slow down your results:

- Not wearing aligners 20–22 hours/day
- Eating or drinking with them in
- Skipping your chewies
- Not cleaning aligners properly
- Switching trays too early or too late

Here’s the truth:
Invisalign only works if you do.

Consistency = faster results + better tracking + fewer delays.

Tag a friend who just started Invisalign.

Just started Invisalign? Read this first.

The first 7 days can make or break your results.

Here’s what matters most:

1. Wear time (20–22 hours daily)
2. Proper use of chewies
3. Removing trays correctly
4. Calling us if something feels off

Soreness, attachments, even a slight lisp? Totally expected.

What’s not normal = not wearing them enough.

Stay consistent and your results will follow.

Save this as your Invisalign checklist + follow for more braces & aligner tips.

Starting Invisalign? These habits make the biggest difference.

Invisalign treatment works best when patients stay consistent.

To keep your treatment on track:
• Wear your aligners 20–22 hours daily
• Remove them to eat, drink, and brush
• Rinse them whenever they come out
• Keep them in their case when not in your mouth
• Switch aligners as directed by your orthodontist

Clear aligners are simple to manage once you build the right routine.

Save this so you remember your Invisalign care routine.

The first week with braces… here’s what most patients feel.

Just got braces? Don’t worry, a little soreness is totally normal.

Most patients feel tenderness in their teeth for 3–5 days after braces are placed as the teeth begin to shift.

The good news?
Your mouth adjusts quickly, and the discomfort usually fades within the first week.

You’ve officially started your smile transformation.

Using a water flosser with braces is one of the best ways to keep your teeth clean during orthodontic treatment… but only if you’re using it the right way.

At Charlotte Advanced Orthodontics, we see a few common mistakes patients make that can make water flossing less effective.

In this reel we cover 5 mistakes to avoid, including:
#1: Not flossing
#2: Missing the gumline
#3: Rushing through the process
#4: Starting at a high pressure
#5: Not using it daily

If you have braces, a water flosser might become your new best friend.

Food and plaque can easily get trapped under wires and around brackets when you have braces. That’s where a water flosser (sometimes called a Waterpik) can help.

A water flosser uses a steady stream of water to help remove food and plaque from the hard-to-reach places around your braces.

Here’s how to use it:
- Use once a day
- Nighttime is best (before brushing)
- Spend about 1–2 minutes cleaning around all your teeth

Regular water flossing can help reduce:
✔️ Swollen gums
✔️ Bleeding
✔️ Plaque around brackets

Keeping your braces clean now helps ensure a healthy, beautiful smile when treatment is complete.

Yes, you can floss with braces. And it’s more important than you think.

Flossing helps remove plaque between teeth and around brackets where your toothbrush can’t reach. Skipping it can lead to gum irritation and unwanted staining during treatment.

Here’s the simple method we recommend. And if you are wondering where to get those flossers in the video? Amazon: Platypus Ortho Flosser

Save this for your nightly routine and share it with someone who just got braces.
