WHAT IS A MOOSE RIDER? Moose Riders are first of all, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge members in good standing, who drive/ride motorcycles, or just like motorcycles. Moose Riders are a group (or commonly referred to as a “Herd”) within the local Lodge. Moose Riders come from all walks of life. The Moose Riders started in Ohio in 1996 as a trial program, under this Motto, Friendship, Love and Truth. There are about 35 Moose Rider groups throughout Ohio, and many in other States. Moose Heart International, which governs every Moose Lodge, has just officially approved the Moose Rider Program nationally. BENEFITS
Besides the many parties and events throughout the year, your dues card entitles you to discounts at several retail establishments. Many other Moose Rider groups offer discounts to Moose Riders from other Lodges. CHARITIES
We support many different charities throughout the year. Some of these are: Moose Heart, Moose Haven, State Charities, Special Olympics, Safe Surfin’, “A Special Wish Foundation”, Children’s Medical Centers, terminally ill children, Fellow Moose Riders down on their luck, as well as other Moose Lodge members, and other local charities and persons as deemed necessary and worthy. WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Any man or woman who is a current Moose member in good standing is eligible to become a Moose Rider. We take anyone, regardless whether they ride a motorcycle or not. Moose Riders are open to all makes, models, color and origin of manufacturer.
