We sadly inform you that Edith (Edie) Jackson Bailey Chiplin, passed on Friday, November 14, 2025 at UMMC in Jackson, MS. She is the daughter of the late Clarence and Lizia Newton Jackson; wife of the late Thomas James Chiplin; mother of Mary (Andrew) Johnson, Earnestine Reid, Ronald (Tangie) Bailey, James (Linda) Jackson, Jerry (Burnette) Jackson, Calvin (Lela) Bailey, Neltha (Darryl) Branden, and the late Shirley Brown, Daisy Johnson, Flora (Carl) Tarleton, Dora Mar Jackson, Terry Jackson and Leo Jackson; her non-biological children, David Jackson, Keona Bailey and Shalonda Bailey; and sister of the late Irene Jackson, Sadie Jackson, Fannie B. Collins, Sammy Jackson, Leonard Jackson, Earnest Jackson, Clarence Jackson and Dora Jackson; and the Lopez Family who she worked for over 54 years.
