We sadly inform you that Marcus Anthony Parker passed on Friday, February 20, 2026 in Vicksburg, MS. He is the husband of Morgan Parker; son of the late Garland Parker and Gloria S. Murphy and Hannah Parker; brother of Michael (Catrin) Parker, Rodney Bryant, Garland Parker, Jr., Eric Parker, and the late Claudette Parker and Bruce Anderson; nephew of Arnel (Ethel) Sims, Lacey (Doris) Simms, Rowland (Brenda) Sims, Melvin (Helen) Sims, James (Nancy) Sims, Olympia Johnson, Arcelia Royster, Evan (Arthur) Ford, Algeria Sims, Erma Washington and Jessie Mae (Donnie) Farr; son-in-law of S.D. Johnson, Jr. and Laura Johnson; brother-in-law of Stephanie Johnson and Tracey (Eric) Smith; he also leaves his bonus family, Ellis and Betty Nasif, Fred and Linda Sue Stewart and Hank and Suanne Drake.

Thompson Funeral Home, is saddened by the passing of Rev. Dr. Leroy Dee, Sr. who transitioned Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his two sons, his grandson and his loving family.

He was pastor at Philadelphia M.B. Church, Hickory Flat M.B. Church and Whitehall M.B. Church. He worked as an Environmental Specialist with the Corp of Engineers for 40 years, but returned to assist with special projects until his health failed.

Jones; brother of Ervin Jones, Jr., Michael Allen, Tullos Jones, Curtis Jones, Ramon Jones, Stephanie Allen Adams, Willie Ruth Allen, Charlene Allen and Lytesha Jones; nephew of Sharon Greer, Tracy Greer, Judy Greer, James Greer, Willie Earl Greer, Macthenious Summage and Lorraine Dorsey.

🌹We are saddened to share that Valentine Nicholson, 94, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 in Madison, FL. Valetine was a devoted educator whose life’s work was dedicated to serving children and their families. She will be remembered for her dedication, compassion, and her unwavering commitment to shaping young minds.

She is the wife of the late Early Nicholson; mother of Jerome B. Nicholson; daughter of the late Essie Edwards King and George Willie Ashmore; sister of Willie B. Ashmore and the late Bertha Ashmore, Laura Ashmore Williams, Pearl Ashmore, Lucio (Luke) Ashmore and George Ashmore, Jr.; cousin of Veronica West Watson who has served as her caregiver for many years along with her mother Mrs. Mattie West.
