We sadly share the transitioning of Mr. Mitchell Hyder, who passed away in Houston, TX on August 22, 2025. He is the son of the late Enex Hyder, Sr. and Annie Ruth Newsome Hyder; brother of Alonzo Yates, Andrew Newsome, Kelly Thomas, Charles Newsome, Enex Hyder, Jr. and the late Gloria Faye Hargro, Brenda Williams, Mahalia Hampton, Marilyn Guy and Roy Osborne.

Mitchell’s past time included attending sports events at his beloved PVAMU, participating in activities with his fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and spending time with his family.
