The Port Huron Old Newsboys came to Kiwanis Club this morning to give an update on their clothing voucher program for kids. Check out their page on how you can help out, which is especially important this time of year as it gets colder. 🧥

Fun side note: Newsboys current President Mary Meadows and John went to school together from kindergarten through graduation so they always enjoy catching up.

Beautiful day at East China Park for the St. Clair County Community Mental Health Su***de Prevention Walk. This committee is passionate about supporting survivors of su***de and providing help to those who need it to reduce the number of su***de deaths in our county. One important piece of the puzzle is making sure people know about the 988 su***de and crisis helpline that anyone can call or text anytime.
Honored to provide the 🕊 dove release for the ceremony prior to the walk.

Our very own funeral director, Laura, got to spend this afternoon at her "other job", Captaining the Huron Lady II. Next Saturday, she'll be a deckhand for the inaugural Blue Water Classic race against the Canadian tour boat, the Duc. We hear there are still a couple tickets left if you want to join the fun!

We get asked often, "Is Captain Laura driving today?"
On Saturday, September 27th at 1:00 pm we get to say, "YES, she sure is!"

If you are a fan of Captain Laura, the longest working member of the HL2 Crew, than this Saturday is for you! Don't worry Captain Dustin will still be aboard, deckhanding and swabbing the deck!

It's a beautiful night for the Port Huron Crosstown Showdown! In past years, our score guessing contest has been fun, so we're going to do it again.

Here's the rules: "Like" our page and then guess the winner AND final score of tonight's game by leaving a comment on THIS post. The closest answer will win a personalized (name, number, etc) to-go mug or water bottle of your choice from Treblig Design (we can have one made for any local sports team or organization).

(Must "like" page and comment to win; If multiple correct answers we will draw winner from them. Comments must be posted before kickoff)

It's here! The 1st day of school for most of our local students and the final day of our mortuary school photo sharing. Our newest funeral directors, Kaitlyn Meldrum, Kylee Crane and Aiyanna Rivera, all graduated from Wayne State University in the past few years. Now newly licensed, they bring fresh energy, ideas and skills to our team.
Whether you're young or a little more seasoned, we wish everyone a great back-to-school day!
