Nancy started working at Professional Counseling Center in August 1992. She attempted to leave in 2001 for a short time but her love for PCC pulled her back in. Nancy started at PCC as a Families First Worker and moved through the rankings ending at co-director and mentor to many. Nancy wore many hats while at PCC and earned her Master of Science in Human Service degree in 2017, while working full time. During her career she was chair for many internal committees, Families First Supervisor, Supervisor of local contracts and Wrap-around, Families First and FTBS Program Manager, Family Preservation Program Director, leader of the bid writing team, part of the Executive Team and a CoDirector. Nancy has also taken an active role in PCC Community Services. Nancy participated in countless volunteer opportunities in the community and joined boards and committees as a great ambassador for PCC and for the betterment of the community.

Nancy was often sought after for her knowledge regarding Family Preservation/Private Agency work by the state level preservation office and was often included in high level decision making by providing valuable feedback.

In June 2024, Nancy was recognized for her service to families and received the Guy Thompson Champion for Reunification Award. She was awarded this due to her passion and strong leadership in family preservation.

Nancy had an open-door policy and was always available when needed. She allowed for, and trusted staff and supervisors to make their own decisions but would provide guidance and feedback when needed. She demonstrated her ability to be trusted by supervisors, and to always have their backs.

Outside of the many leadership roles she had, she was a strong advocate and mentor to endless staff within the agency, providing levelheaded guidance that was backed by years of experience and expertise. Nancy led with her heart, shaping many leaders and staff into well rounded social workers. To say she will be missed by many is a true understatement. However, we wish her well as she moves into retirement and thank her endlessly for her dedication to РСС.
