Teen and Young Parent Support Group

Being a young parent can seem overwhelming. This group, meeting at the Main Library in Port Huron on Tuesday, November 5 and 26, at 10:45 a.m., is a safe and welcoming space for teens and young parents to connect, share experiences, and support one another. Parenting can be rewarding and challenging, and knowing you are not alone on this journey is important. Join community birth doula Tori Ferrier from Sacred Roots and Nicole Reynolds from Dawning Lace Doula Services for this program.

October is Safe Sleep Month

October is Infant Safe Sleep Month in Michigan and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Awareness Month nationally. To help support families, you can learn more about the safe sleep guidelines and why they are recommended to keep babies safe.

Another way to promote infant safe sleep is to sign up for the Infant Safe Sleep Month Virtual 5K Your Way. To participate, complete a 5K run/walk or any other activity for at least 30 minutes (bike, swim, dance, chair aerobics—just move) during the month of October. Learn more about the Virtual 5K Your Way and sign up today!

In 1988, President Ronald Reagan designated October as Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month to recognize the profound grief parents endure when they lose a child. This month, we honor the memories of the little lives lost too soon and the families left to carry their memories.

We invite you to download our complimentary calendar, filled with 31 heartfelt ways to remember and honor your baby throughout October. https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/awareness/

💙 Whether it's lighting a candle, writing a letter, or participating in local ceremonies, each act of remembrance helps foster healing and awareness.

Introducing solid foods can feel a bit nerve-wracking. It’s natural to worry about how your baby will react, what foods are safe, and whether they’re getting enough nutrition. This is a learning process for both of you. Trust your instincts, take it slow, and know that it’s okay to feel unsure at first.

Seeing your little one dive into solid foods for the first time is such a fun milestone! Watching their reactions to new tastes and textures, and even the mess they make, is all part of the excitement. Don’t stress about the food that ends up on the floor or all over their face—just let them enjoy the adventure!

I’m excited to announce my upcoming Starting Solids Workshop! We’ll dive into everything you need to know, from purées and baby-led weaning to combo feeding and managing food allergens. Whether you're just getting started or looking for guidance, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to make introducing solids a smooth and enjoyable experience for both you and your baby.

Drop a 😋 below and I’ll send over the booking link once it’s live on my site!

It is typically recommended to take a prenatal or childbirth education class at the end of your second trimester or beginning of your third. It is a great time to learn all of the warning signs of early labor as well as how to navigate the entire labor and delivery process.

When you choose to book a private prenatal class with me, not only do you get a 3-4 hour class (can be split into 2 sessions) but you also have the option to email me any questions you may have up until you have the baby.

There are so many ways that I can support you, Mama 🩷 I’d love to chat 👇🏻
