We will be OPEN on Tuesday 12/23!
We are usually closed on Tuesdays.

We will have SPECIAL HOURS 11am - 3pm on Christmas Eve 12/24!
For last minute gift shoppers!

We will be CLOSED on Christmas Day 12/25!

We will then be OPEN for our normal hours 11am - 6pm on Friday 12/26, Saturday 12/27, Sunday 12/28 and Monday 12/29!

We will be CLOSED on Tuesday 12/30, New Year's Eve 12/31 and New Year's Day 1/1!

UPDATE: Colette has been adopted! She will join Cookie (another one of the cats that was adopted from our adoption center last year) in Jean's warm home. Jean has been following Colette's story for months, and her and Cookie decided that Colette had waited long enough. 😻😹😸😻

This is Colette. She was rescued from the middle of I-75 about 2.5 years ago by Paws, Awes & Claws. She was terrified, and the hot sun caused the cement to burn her paws and even some of her fur. The ordeal traumatized her, and it took her a long time to overcome a crippling level of anxiety.

Today, December 13th, is the ONE YEAR anniversary of her expectantly waiting in our adoption center for the right human to see her, to love her, to show her the patience and compassion that she needs and deserves. In this last year she has seen 70 other cats get picked while she has been overlooked. She was approximately 5 years old when she joined our adoption center, so she is about 6 years old now.

It took her first 6 months here to learn that she could trust people again, and over the last 6 months she has really grown into a very social cat that seeks attention every time visitors enter the room, thanks to all of the love and attention she has received from our wonderful customers.

She loves head scratches, and perching on the lap of people that have won her trust. That may take a little time, she may need some patience as she adjusts to a new home once she is adopted, but she deserves the chance, and will make an absolutely awesome companion for the right person. Her anxiety still gets triggered by chaos, loud noises, and lots of commotion, so she would be best suited to a quiet home without young kids or excitable dogs.

She LOVES catnip and goes crazy for cat treats, she can sit for hours at a window watching the leaves and snow blow past, and has a cute playful side, but she mostly just wants love and safety. Oh . . . and we can't forget to mention her BIG BEAUTIFUL GREEN EYES!

Cat adoption #105! Melissa adopted Thunder at our kitten adoption event on Sunday! Thank you Melissa and Paws, Awes & Claws!

Unfortunately, things did not work out with Candycorn's adoption, and he has been returned to the adoption center. His new sibling would not accept him in the home sadly.

Three new cats have been added to the adoption center. Hansa is a beautiful long-haired gray & white, and her sister Greta is a long-haired gray polydactyl. Guacamole is a wonderfully friendly tuxedo cat. Stop by the store to visit all the unique cats looking for their forever home.

Colette is nearing her one year anniversary, December 13th, in the adoption center without finding her perfect match. In that year she has overcome extreme anxitey, always hiding under blankets all the time, to become a very social and loving cat who desperately wants love. She would do very well as a solo pet, and just needs a little love and patience to win her trust. She is extremely loving once she trusts you. She has the most amazing green eyes that we have ever seen, and she loves laying on laps.
