Our Story
The Bone & Joint Physical Therapy was started in 1996 in conjunction with The Bone & Joint Institute in an effort to offer a high-quality physical therapy experience to The Institute’s patients. It has since expanded to become an independently certified rehabilitation facility servicing patients referred by many physicians throughout SE Michigan. Our staff currently consists of 1 Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and 1 Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Our clinicians are state licensed and have over 20 years of combined clinical experience. We specialize in a variety of treatment techniques including Myofascial Release, Functional Massage, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and Functional Dry Needling. Our 2000 square foot facility overlooking the St. Clair river features Cardon high-lo treatment tables and Cybex exercise equipment. We are also the only facility in St. Clair county to have the Alter G anti-gravity treadmill system which was featured on the Dr. Oz show as well as The Biggest Loser. We are able to measure and have fabricated custom foot orthotics unique to the individual patient. Each patient receives a thorough evaluation and then has an individualized treatment program designed to fit their specific health or surgical condition focusing on getting them back their previous level of function be that an average activity level, a weekend warrior or a professional athlete.
