Meet Dr. David Temmermand, a highly trained ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon who specializes in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery and has completed advanced fellowship training in Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery. Dr. Temmermand sees patients at ENT and Allergy Associates’ Medford, Voorhees, and Washington Township.
Originally from South Jersey, Dr. Temmermand earned his Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland, then returned home to complete a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences and his medical degree (DO) from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his surgical residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery at Rowan, with additional training in head and neck cancer care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
With a deep passion for treating thyroid and parathyroid conditions, Dr. Temmermand completed an intensive one-year fellowship with world-renowned thyroid surgeon Dr. David Terris. This specialized training allowed him to perfect his surgical technique and become a leader in minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
Dr. Temmermand has performed surgery on more than 1,300 patients with a wide range of thyroid and parathyroid conditions. He is especially skilled in minimally invasive approaches to complex cases—including thyroid cancer, hard-to-locate parathyroid tumors, and revision surgeries. He has also performed over 1,000 needle biopsies (FNAs) and thousands of thyroid ultrasounds, giving patients the benefit of expert, comprehensive care.
