Patient Care Coordinator Port Ludlow, WA
The Patient Care Coordinator is a highly organized professional who is responsible for providing administrative support to a rehabilitation team. The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining patient medical records, scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Physical Therapy office. The Patient Care Coordinator must be able to work independently and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Patient Care Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist Therapists with administrative tasks
• Maintain accurate records of patient medical histories, treatments, and test results
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
• Process patient insurance claims
• Answer phone calls and emails from patients
• Input patient information into the medical system
• Provide patient-centered customer service
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Medical Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and medical record software
