Happy Tooth Fairy Day!

Did you know that Tooth Fairy Day is celebrated twice a year? It's 6 months apart, just like your dental cleanings.
It's a good reminder to visit the dentist twice a year.

Understanding Sedation Dentistry for Children

Some dental visits need a little extra support, that’s where sedation dentistry can help.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Dental Association (ADA) note that sedation is a safe and helpful option for children who:
✔️ Feel nervous or scared
✔️ Have trouble staying still
✔️ Need longer or more involved care
✔️ Have special health needs

In our pediatric office, our team is trained to offer safe sedation choices that help your child stay calm and comfortable. These may include:
• Nitrous oxide (laughing gas)
• Oral conscious sedation
• IV sedation or general anesthesia (with a dental anesthesiologist)

Our goal is to make each visit gentle and stress‑free while keeping safety at the heart of everything we do.

🦷 Sedation isn’t about “putting kids to sleep” it’s about giving them the support they need to feel relaxed and cared for.

Questions about whether sedation is right for your child? We’re here to help.

Walking into a pediatric dental office feels different, and that’s exactly the goal. A warm first experience helps build lifelong healthy habits and lowers dental anxiety. Our space is created just for kids, with bright colors, playful distractions, comfy kid-sized tools, simple explanations, and a team that makes every visit calm and fun. From the moment they arrive, your child feels safe, welcomed, and understood. When kids enjoy dental care early on, they grow up smiling with confidence.

Tooth decay is the most common chronic childhood disease in the United States even more common than asthma, diabetes, and childhood obesity.
At Pediatric Dental Care, we believe prevention starts early. Healthy daily habits at home combined with routine visits to a pediatric dentist play a powerful role in protecting your child’s smile. Our goal is to partner with families to prevent cavities, build confidence, and set children up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
