💗Building self love, one thought at a time. 💗Week 3 — Boundaries are healthy

Boundaries are not walls — they are guidelines for how you deserve to be treated.

Saying “no,” asking for space or protecting your time does not make you unkind. It makes you self-aware. Healthy boundaries create healthier relationships, clearer communication and more emotional balance. 🌿

💗This week’s self-love reminder: You can care about others and still care for yourself. Both can exist at the same time. 💛

Save these boundary phrases for when you need the words. Share with someone who is learning that protecting their peace is an act of self-respect. ✨

Monday Mental Health Tip February Series: 💗Building self love, one thought at a time.💗 Week 3 - Boundaries are healthy, not unloving. Tracy Williams, M.A., LPC shares how building self-love doesn’t start with grand gestures. It starts with the quiet thoughts you repeat every day.

💗Building self love, one thought at a time. 💗 The words you say to yourself every day become the voice you believe. 💬If you wouldn’t say it to a friend, don’t say it to yourself. Compassion is not weakness — it is emotional strength. Small shifts in your inner dialogue can create powerful changes in confidence, mood and motivation. 🌱Today’s self-love check-in: What is one kind sentence you can say to yourself right now? Comment it below, save this for later and come back whenever your inner critic gets loud. 💛

Week 2: Talk to yourself with compassion.

💭Your inner voice shapes your confidence more than you realize.

🗣️The way you speak to yourself in hard moments matters. Harsh thoughts do not motivate growth — compassion does. When you shift your self-talk from criticism to encouragement, you create space for progress, not pressure. 🌱

💗This week’s self-love reminder: Talk to yourself like someone you care about. 💛

Save these phrases for the moments your mind gets loud. Share with someone who needs a kinder inner voice today. 💬✨

💗Building self love, one thought at a time. 💗 This week’s self-love reminder: Rest is not something you earn after burnout. It is something you allow before you reach it. Take one small moment today — five minutes, a walk, a deep breath — and let it count.

Our new February series continues!
💗Building self love, one thought at a time.💗
Week 1: Rest is not a failure.

💡Rest is not a setback — it is a strategy.💡

You do not have to earn rest or feel guilty for slowing down. Pausing helps your mind reset, your body recover and your clarity return.

This week’s self-love reminder: Rest is a need, not a failure.

Save this for the days you need permission to slow down. 💛

🧠 Your ADHD brain isn’t broken. It just needs a better reset. 🎯

✅ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) gives people with ADHD practical tools to interrupt unhelpful thought loops and get unstuck.

➡️ Try this simple, three-step thought reset when overwhelm hits:
1️⃣ Name it.
Give the thought a label.
“I’m stuck.” “This is too much.” “I’ll never finish.”
2️⃣ Nudge it.
Ask yourself: Is this thought helping me start?
3️⃣ Swap it.
Replace it with a starter thought:
“I only need to do this for five minutes.”
“I can start small.”
“Progress counts.”

👉 This isn’t about positive thinking. It’s about realistic thinking that helps your brain move forward.

✅ At New Beginnings Counseling Team, our therapists use evidence-based approaches like CBT to help adults with ADHD build momentum, confidence and sustainable routines.
🤍 If starting feels harder than it should, support is available — and it works. Call/text us: 409.540.2055.
