Can you spot the nit?

We recently treated a client who had already been treated by a professional 2 days prior. All the bugs were gone but quite a few nits were missed!

People always think "it's so much easier to look for lice in dark hair", not completely accurate!

Only freshly laid and hatched eggs are light enough to identify in dark hair!
Mature eggs are dark and close to impossible to see in dark hair!

Here to help you because Volusia County Schools and the Florida Department of Health (DOH) don't think Lice are concerning enough to even notify that a child in the has it!

There has been some speculation about policies within schools concerning lice. We've attached some screenshots from the Volusia County Schools website and the CDC. If you have more recent information, please let us know. They may send a child home but nowhere does it require it. The CDC even said don't send kids home. And they definitely will not send a letter home like the old days saying "a child in the classroom has lice, please check your child". If these things upset you then please attend school board meetings.
