Who doesn't love a good birthday party? Well, how about a bash celebrating all the April birthdays in our community? That we do - every month. Gather the birthday boys and girls and their admirers, add cake and spirits, as well as wonderful music by Sweet Melissa, and you have a recipe filled with love, friendship and levity! She is not only a truly gifted and compassionate person, but she is the veteran Medication Technician on our staff, enhancing the lives of Seagrass residents for over four years. We salute Kristian, and thank her for her service and dedication to our community!

Wishing our Executive Director, Jeff Jaques, a most Happy Birthday! As Jeff is quite low-key on self-congratulatory matters, Director of Resident Services Samantha Knisley and Administrative Assistant Annette Lloyd decided to transform his office into a celebratory wonderland for the world to see & enjoy! (We all found that kicking balloons is both fun and therapeutic!) Please join us in wishing our dedicated and fearless leader a most happy day!!!

Our residents' artistry was on full display today, courtesy of Karen's Kreations ... with a model image prominent, our Van Goghs-in-training took over, and brought out the beauty to be found in the marriage of a brush, a canvas, and an imagination. Simply beautiful!

Today we celebrated the lovely Kathleen who "graduated" from hospice services as of today! We are so delighted that her health and well-being are on the upswing ... and we likewise delighted in doting on her today! The residents enjoyed Music by Bruce along with cake at her graduation party! Long may Kathleen thrive with us!

Seagrass Village of Port Orange is always eager to recognize exceptional work performance, and at our recent Staff Meeting for March we were delighted to announce Candice as Employee of the Month and Warren as Director's Choice Outstanding Employee.

Candice has a phenomenal work ethic, always prioritizing the needs of the residents - this makes her the perfect Activities Assistant. When we recently experienced a staff shortage, Candice stepped up and flawlessly delivered zestful activities and compassionate care to the residents. She stood out under trying circumstances and shone brightly.

Warren is the epitome of meticulousness with sprinklings of humor, compassion and understanding - this is a definitive quality in a Housekeeping professional. During a recent staff shortage, Warren ramped up his game to legendary level, keeping our beautiful building really beautiful, and always prioritizing resident needs and concerns.

The entire Seagrass family congratulates Candice and Warren and thanks them for more-than-expected service to our residents and our team. These two folks make our team infinitely stronger.
