Last Thursday, November 6, Port Orchard Rotary sponsored South Kitsap High School's third 'Youth Career Connections Night'. Students rotated through three 30-minute open-ended conversations with professionals from various industries. Carissa, a funeral director/embalmer at Rill Chapel met with several inquiring students and discussed the idea of funeral services as being a part of their future. The students came into the conversation with a surprising amount of background research, great questions and the willingness to listen. It was a fun filled evening shared with many other professionals from various industries; and it is always great to go back and visit one's old stomping grounds. Thank you, Port Orchard Rotary and SKHS for giving our students this amazing opportunity.
