You must be able to effectively support treatment recommendations by discussing the patient’s oral health to determine their motivators and concerns and encouraging them to achieve their goals for oral health.

Additional requirements:
• Ability to take diagnostic x-rays
• Proficient in taking intra-oral photos and using them as a diagnostic tool
• Effective time management skills in a fast paced environment
• Confidence in patient education and practice promotion
• Detailed clinical notes & personal notes to aid in follow up and conversation starters
• Ability to successfully manage adults and children with dental anxiety
• Willingness to help with equipment maintenance and sterilization as needed
