I may have been absent from social media for a while when it comes to my business page, but I’ve been so laser focused on being present for the families that I get to serve.

Last night I had the honor of witnessing my dear friend, step into a new chapter as she joined me at a birth for the first time. I usually work alone, but I was so incredibly grateful as I had 2 mamas laboring at the same time.

God makes no mistakes however she had been shadowing me at prenatal visits with one of the mamas so trust and relationship was established with my sweet mama.

I was able to be fully present for one mama, as Jess held space for the other until I came back into the room.

This is how I found her, when I came back. There was no “acting the part”, she was embodying purpose and I was so proud!

I love you dear friend! There aren’t enough words to express how blessed I am to be able to do life with you on so many me levels. 💕

I had the honor of encapsulating my very first placenta and creating a beautiful umbilical keepsake for a mama 💗

The placenta is a beautiful organ that begins to form along side the baby. It nourishes and maintains the baby as they grow in their in their mother’s womb.

Isn’t the human body absolutely incredible? So perfectly formed and fashioned by God!

How amazing is that!? 🥰

God is a wonder, and we were all formed with purpose on purpose 🙏🏽

I missed world Doula Day yesterday but it’s still World Doula week. ❤️

I came into the birth center today and not only did I get to see one of my sweet families but they came with this beautiful gift! 🥹

Then I received a beautiful voice note from a friend of mine who I happened to attend her bff’s birth. The words of love, appreciation and gratefulness that she shared with me brought me to tears.

What an honor it is to support these incredible families!

With every birth that I attend I pray for and cover my families, midwives/doctors, staff and myself, that the spirit of the Lord would go before me and fill each birth space. I pray supernatural strength and empowerment over my mamas, so that even when they reach a moment when they feel like they “just can’t do it anymore”, that they allow themselves to fully surrender and allow the Lord to be their strength. I also pray that wisdom, discernment, and divine protection would be present in the room at all times so that mama and baby stay safe.

For me being a doula is more than just support, it’s educating, empowering, advocating and most importantly interceding for my families.

Being a Doula, which means servant/ one who serves, is truly Ministry, and I am so blessed that the Lord chose me for this call.

This week was spring break but also really busy for me with mamas and babies. I was missing my family and disappointed that we didn’t get to hang out like I originally planned.

Well I have such an incredible husband who could sense that, so he and my littles surprised me at the office🥹 At the same time our sweet friends .b.jones and littles were there and we captured this sweet photo.

We took the kids to one of our favorite parks during my lunch and enjoyed the beautiful breeze and sunshine.

I am so grateful that even in a busy season, we can carve out intentional time for our family.

Precious conversations with my Doula Babies are my favorite!

I can’t believe that it’s been 6 weeks already since Milo was born. I was so excited to see him and his sweet Mama Amanda today and celebrate all of her victories great and small when it comes to motherhood and breastfeeding. Super proud of her, and although she won’t have appointments at the birth center anymore, we are forever connected ❤️

Getting ready for my next doula baby! We had our final home visit, where we packed Mama, Baby and Grandma’s bag for the birth center! 🥰

She also completed her homework assignment of drawing for me, what her ideal birth would look like, and I must say she did an amazing job! 🌟Pepper Jack loved it so much he took a nap 🤣

Being a doula is more than just showing up at a birth. It’s about building trust and relationship with the families that you are blessed to support, as they walk out one of life most incredible moments. It’s also about educating and empowering the families by talking through some of the topics no one tells you related to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
