Hey Everyone 💛

Let’s talk about something REAL: how you’re *actually* feeling in the fourth trimester. We know postpartum isn’t just about physical recovery: your mental health matters, too! Whether you’re feeling on top of the world, overwhelmed, anxious, or just need someone to say "You’re not alone": this AMA is for YOU. 🫶

Drop your questions below (or DM if you prefer privacy!): about emotional health, baby blues, healing, asking for help, or simply surviving sleepless nights. Partners, you’re *absolutely* invited to join! This is a safe, no-pressure space for everyone.

Let’s share resources, honest stories, and support. No judgment, just real talk. 💬✨

When a Black maternal health advocate and professional dies from pregnancy-related complications, it should stop us in our tracks.
This was someone who understood the system, worked within it, and fought to make it better. And still—she died.
That truth matters.
It reminds us that Black mothers continue to face higher risks, often having their pain or concerns dismissed. It reminds us that education alone is not always enough—and that preparation, advocacy, and strong support systems can be lifesaving.
If you are pregnant, postpartum, or supporting a Black mother:
please take symptoms seriously, ask questions, bring support to appointments, and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
Honoring her life means refusing to treat these losses as normal—and continuing the work she cared so deeply about.

This should stop us all in our tracks. We lost Dr. Janell Green Smith, a respected midwife, maternal health expert and advocate, to childbirth complications. She spent her life helping others give birth safely. And still, she died. Her education did not protect her. Her expertise did not save her. H...

My baby was only 3 weeks old the first time I heard this. “You'll spoil your baby if you hold them too much." This advice haunts new parents. And it's scientifically backwards. A classic (really old!) randomized controlled trial tracked 99 mother-infant pairs for a simple experiment: One group car...

Myth or Fact? Doulas only help if you want a “natural” birth?

Let’s set the record straight: Doulas support EVERY type of birth: medicated, unmedicated, planned C-section, or anything in between. Having a doula means having evidence-based guidance, continuous comfort (physical & emotional!), and a true advocate by your side: whatever your plan or journey looks like. ✨

You are not alone in wanting support, confidence, and clarity! If you’re hearing things about doulas and wonder what’s true or not, drop your myth or question below. Let’s clear up the confusion, together.

Our Story

Empowering new parents with the knowledge, tools, and skills necessary to make the best decisions for their families from childbirth education and labor support training, to postpartum and back to work preparation We offer personalized childbirth preparation classes, maternity consultations, baby gear consultations and support team training. I will also be hosting Better Birth 360° Comfort Measures Workshop that will complement the preparation classes. Baby Dream Gear Series is a 7 module training that will introduce you to the many products available to new and expecting parents. You will learn about the different products available and identify the products that will be beneficial to your personal lifestyle and those that don’t.

When I was pregnant with my first child I had the library. I checked out every book they had on pregnancy, nutrition during pregnancy, stages of pregnancy, how to properly care for my body and my baby. I still felt cheated. I arrived at the hospital much too early. I was given a morphine drip to slow down my contractions because there were too many laboring women that particular morning. I do remember taking a hospital preparation class that required my husband and I show up with a pillow. I cannot tell you what I else learned in that class aside from the one of the Lamaze breathing technique that had everyone in stitches. Flash forward to today when so much information is available at your fingertips; so much to sort through. How to decipher the facts from the opinions, and learning the best decisions for you and your family is just one thing your baby planner can help you with.
