When was the last time you connected with Mother Nature?
Here is a Navajo Night Way Song to help you connect with the wisdom of Pachamama 💜

Prayer 🪶
“The mountains, I become a part of it.”
“The morning mists, the clouds, the gathering waters,”
“I become a part of it.”
“The wilderness, the few drops, the pollen...”
“I become a part of it.”

Cacao has been consumed for over 4000 yrs by oldest civilizations such as Mayans, Aztecs and all over ancient civilizations in the Americas. It was mostly used for ceremonies.

This sacred plant is packed with nutrient and I’m so happy to have come across the actual fruit.

Although we are more familiar with the processed taste of this plant which is the chocolate, the raw fruit is very rare and this was the first time I tried it and my family as well.

Have you tried raw cacao?

It’s been exactly 10 years since the first surgery I had that change my life. Today, I’m recovering from what I pray would be the last surgery I ever have to get again.
The two surgeries were night and day. The first one was 12 hours, this one not even 3. The first one left me in bed for 4 months, this one I was walking on the first day. The first one was traumatic, this one left me with hope.
I never knew that a health condition could be so deteriorating and though there are times I want to leave endometriosis behind me and pretend that it wasn’t part of my life, I cannot. I have been through hell and back to be able to help others not to go through the same and if they are already in their “hell” to support them through the journey and show that it is possible to LIVE and make it back.
I know there were days that I thought I couldn’t make it back and days that I wanted to give up and not fight to make it back but I AM here! And I will make it worth it and follow this mission that is bigger than myself. 💜

Tomorrow is my surgery and I would be lying if I say that I didn’t have bit of fear. I believe in the power of positive thoughts, healing energy and good intentions which is why I want to share with you a prayer. As you read this post I would like for you to keep me in your thoughts.

💜You are the light of the world, and the source of everlasting peace. Through your power, bring my friend peace and comfort as the surgery begins. I pray that you will protect and keep her in your care as the surgeons begin their work. Please help my friend to have a safe, healthy recovery from her surgery. 💜

When you live most of your days in pain feeling pain free seems like freedom, like you can breath again, like you can be YOU again.
You would do anything to be pain free. Its desperation mode to be pain free. Desperation doesn’t lead to the best of you.
One practice that has helped me with dealing with endometriosis pain and that I believe every woman with endometriosis should practice is meditation. Women with endometriosis have a higher level of cortisol hormone which is the stress hormone. Meditation helps in lowering cortisol levels and therefore helping with easing pain.
Stay tune for my new website launch so you can download a FREE meditation.

Do you practice meditation? 💜

HAPPY FRIDAY!
Don’t be so serious and enjoy a little. This is my silly family trying to meditate in nature. When was the last time you did something silly?

ESPAÑOL
FELIZ VIERNES!

Today is and I just want to share how mental health can be different for everyone. All of us to certain extent have a mental issue, whether it is anxiety, dealing with stress, or depression and some of these are caused by other illnesses. Women with have a high rate of anxiety and depression.⠀
I could attest for this as I had suffered both and at times had suicidal thoughts. ⠀
Let’s not hide behind a mask and speak up about it. ⠀

So this is me! I’m Dominican 🇩🇴 moved to NYC when I was 12yrs old and was undocumented until about 3 years ago. Why I share this such unknown part of me? Because often times I don’t give myself enough credit for all the things I have endured and accomplished. ⠀
And I’m sure I’m not the only one that has ever felt this way. The feeling of not being educated enough, accomplished enough, and just not good enough. Having endometriosis didn’t help this because I felt less than enough but take a moment and think of all that you have accomplished, of all the good that you have done, all you continue to do and this will bring that self-compassion and self-love to new level. I leave you with this to think about because we tend to see what others do but not on what we do. Give yourself some credit. 💜⠀

If you watched my story this morning you must know already that I messed up over the weekend and ate ice cream made with cow’s milk and tons of sugar 😭 and the worst part is that I’m suffering the consequences because it caused inflammation in my body causing my leg to hurt. ⠀
This is part of the journey and though not a proud moment, “Sh*t happens” and I can’t hammer myself down for it! Just gotta learn and keep moving. Having self compassion is essential when dealing with endometriosis. To know that we are human and s**t will happen whether is the diet, the supplement, the workout, we cannot have our s**t together all the time is just impossible. 🤷🏽‍♀️⠀

MINDFUL MONDAY⠀
Endometriosis is a chapter that I wanted to delete out of my life and did everything to get “rid” of it but what I didn’t realize is that the chapter of endometriosis has been the climax of my life. It has changed me, molded me, shifted me, into the person I am today. I am grateful for the condition although it has caused me tremendous pain. Once we have a grateful heart even with the worst parts of our lives, instead of feeling that life isn’t fair, we surrender only then we are able to see the true healing and light of the dark places. ⠀

What chapter of your life are you in? 💜⠀

One thing I love to do to go inward when I’m on my period is to journal. Journaling is a way for you to write down ideas, intentions, emotions or just dump anything that is on your mind. You will be amazed of the benefits and how healing and insightful it is. ⠀
Do you ever sit down to write down how are you feeling or just whats on your head? ⠀
💜⠀
¿Alguna vez te has sentado para escribir cómo te sientes o qué piensas?⠀

It’s FRIDAY!! We do fun things on Fridays right?

Did you know that dancing it’s therapeutic? And Did you know that it’s beneficial for women with endometriosis?
Dancing helps move stagnant energy around our body, especially our hips, releasing pelvic area tension therefore reducing pelvic pain.
Well when was the last time you danced? By yourself? With someone?
If you haven’t danced recently go ahead! Move those hips girl!!
🎵 by Landrick- Kuyuyu
P.S. this is me trying to dance

Si no has bailado recientemente, ¡adelante! Mueve esas caderas niña !!

Here we go again!!!
Recently I asked on my story “what you did on your first day of your cycle?” I was shocked to see that out of 395 people that viewed the question only 1 replied and it was to ask me for guidance on what to do on Day 1 of your menstruation.
And here is the problem we are so conditioned to not talk about our periods that we feel ashamed even sharing about it. We have to break the taboos and the stigma around our menstruation. Having such a disconnect to something that is so sacred to our body and life, it’s the root of many issues we encountered as a women, from health issues to body image issues.
Let’s open up about our periods! Let’s empower ourselves with the wisdom it carries. In the voice of “Are you with me lions?” ✊🏽
So now “What do you do on your Day 1 of your cycle?” This not a wrong or right and answer. 💜

Yesterday I asked on my story “what you did on your Day 1 of your cycle?” and out of 395 views that the post got only 1 person replied asking more information about it. I didn’t know what to think, are we so ashamed to talk about our periods? are we so disconnected that we don’t know what we are doing during our cycles? I’m honestly very intrigued. I urge for you to open up and to talking about our periods and breaking the stigmas around it, breaking the fear, the feeling of disgust and not being appropriate or “lady like” because this is a natural process for women, a beautiful process indeed. There’s no creation without menstruation. ⠀
So how do you feel about talking about your cycle? 💜⠀
