Amazing to think that it has almost been a year since the world premiere of our latest feature, Song of the New Earth at Seattle International Film Festival in May 2014. It has been a year learning, risking and trust as we dove headfirst into the world of hybrid (self) film distribution.

Some of the highlights…
~Being featured as one of the Top Ten ‘HeartWarming’ films of 2014 in The Huffington Post
~Fans of the film hosting over 150 community screenings all over the world, from New Zealand to Romania to Alaska.
~A successful theatrical tour of west coast theaters, (soon to be followed up by a German theatrical tour!)
~Our preview having a mini ‘viral’ wave and attracting 20,000 hits over night.
~Our free streaming online launch attracting over 10,000 viewers.
~Building great relationship with our DVD distributors, Beyond Words, and digital distributors, YEKRA.

Today we head out to a tough part of Nairobi, an area the locals describe as a slum, accompanying Rodney Rascona, a world class commercial photographer who devotes much of his working life to humanitarian projects.

One of his passions is to document the stories of women around the world whose lives are impacted by indoor smoke from fires and inefficient cook stoves. (4 million women and children a year die from the diseases caused by the smoke)…"
