📢 Meet Our New Provider, Dr. Lauren Olsen

Lauren Olsen, MD joined the Watership Primary Care Clinic November 24, 2025!

Dr. Olsen is a family medicine physician with training in full-spectrum primary care, including pediatrics, office procedures, inpatient hospital medicine, and addiction treatment.

Dr. Olsen is “passionate about global health, addiction medicine, and advocating for marginalized populations, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community and criminal justice system.”

💙 We're pleased to share that Lindsay Nelson, FNP has joined our Hospice and Palliative Care team.

💡 Nelson emphasizes providing whole-person care to patients and families living with serious illness. “To me, this means coming to know people on a deeper human level, recognizing their unique needs and working together to find the right tools to support their goals and preferences,” she says. Nelson also says she is “excited to work for a truly community-focused and independent healthcare team." Adding, "it is a rare and special opportunity.”

Last week, we were honored to host the new Washington State Secretary of Health, Dennis Worsham.

👉ABOUT THE VISIT: The Secretary spent two hours with a large contingent from Jefferson Healthcare — from administration to primary and specialty care doctors to leaders in financial counseling and workforce development.

Conversations ranged from working with patients to proactively navigating their care as well as efforts to grow and sustain our workforce.

👉WHAT'S NEXT: This visit sets the stage for continued thought partnership and collaboration as we seek to navigate the increasingly delicate landscape of rural healthcare.
