🚨 Weather Alert: We Will Be Closed Sunday 🌨️❄️

Due to the approaching major winter storm affecting the Port Washington area, with heavy snow expected to begin early Sunday morning and continue through much of the day, we will be Closed this Sunday, January 25, 2026, for the safety of our staff and all of you.

The health and well-being of our community is our top priority, and we want to avoid any unnecessary travel during hazardous road conditions, strong winds, and accumulating snow (forecasts indicate 6–12+ inches possible in our region).

- All sessions and appointments scheduled for Sunday are canceled.

- We will resume our normal schedule on Tuesday, January 27 (weather permitting, please check your email or our social media for any further updates).

- If you have a booking affected by this closure, please reschedule and reach out if you have questions.

In the meantime, stay safe, bundle up, and take this as an opportunity to practice some gentle self-care at home, even perhaps a cozy meditation, gentle stretching, or simply resting with intention.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area. With forecasts predicting significant precipitation, including up to a foot of snow, along with dropping temperatures, we are preparing for potential impacts on travel and safety. As a result, Rays of Light may need to close on Sunday to ensure the well-being of our team and clients.

We will make a final decision based on the latest conditions and will send out an update via email as soon as possible. In the meantime, please keep an eye on your inbox for any announcements, or feel free to call us first before heading out on Sunday to confirm our status.

Important Update Regarding Rays of Light!

It is with a heavy heart that we share an important update regarding Rays of Light.

Due to unforeseen circumstances and a proposed change in ownership at our building, we have reached a point where continuing to operate from our Port Washington location is no longer feasible. After much thoughtful consideration, we have made the very difficult decision to close this location at the end of January, effective January 31st, 2025.

For the past three years, Rays of Light has been a place of healing, connection, and care within our community.

Together, we have supported countless individuals on their wellness journeys, created space for rest and renewal, and witnessed meaningful moments of growth, relief, and transformation. The good that has come from this work and the lives it has touched is something we hold with immense pride and gratitude.

While stepping away from this space is incredibly difficult, we remain firm believers that when one door closes, another one opens. We do not see this as the end of Rays of Light, but rather a pause or redirection as we explore what the next chapter may look like and how we might continue this work in a new way.

Before we transition, we want to ensure that all clients have the opportunity to use any remaining sessions or services on their accounts. From this point, there is roughly 6 weeks left to use up remaining hours you may have left on your packages and/or memberships. Please reach out as soon as possible so we can help you schedule and make full use of what you’ve already invested in.

Rays of Light was built on community, trust, and shared intention, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who walked through our doors, supported our mission, and believed in the healing we set out to provide. As we look ahead, if you or someone you know may be interested in having a conversation about future opportunities for Rays of Light, we would welcome that connection.
